A number of people have expressed their concerns relative to the Obama candidacy. Most question the Obama voters sanity or lack thereof.. The bigger picture reveals a “disconnect” or a short circuit of some kind.
There is a segment of the Obama vote that will cast that vote for the most obvious of reasons. Just consider them “the usual suspects.” It is those outside of that malodorous circle that have the majority of the rest of us dismayed.
We will never understand an Obama vote. In order to try to get to the bottom of the Obama vote, you should look at the voters themselves.
Liberals operate on a faulty foundation of emotions. The liberals never deal in facts, they prefer to be angry. It’s all about “feelings”, not logic and common sense.
They cry, they scream and they emote. That is why they do not debate. They simply can’t.. Their politics consists of “I know you are but what am I” childishness and their vote based on this type of nothingness, counts as much as yours does.
They “feel” this time through. They are a part of an undefined movement called “change”. Change does not denote direction and most certainly it does not infer progress. They “feel” that they are “doing something”. They are, but they have no idea exactly what the results of what they are “doing” will be. No matter, if the results end up afoul, it’s the fault of the “other side”. The liberal “means well” so all failure, from the miniscule to the massive, is irrelevant. “At least we did something..” The proof of this can be found in their “War on Poverty”. Decades and trillions wasted and if you question them on it they refer back to the previously mentioned recycled excuses.. Their disconnect from reality is congenital.
Emotion as a motivator has been the key. Their hate and their bile have been focused on the “BushMcCain Velcro” magic of the Democrats. The left just reminds their lemmings that all of their personal problems are the result of the Republican Party, who is the leader of the Republican Party and who from the Republican Party wants to be the President. They overlook their individual sloth, their personal incompetence, you are a failure because of “them”.. Ignore the facts. Overlook the data. Get mad..
The campaign rhetoric of their “Dear Leader” shines the light of truth upon this theory. How many “facts” did Obama ever forward? How many learned position papers did the nation hear about? What we got was “the failed policies of George Bush” or “eight more years of the failed policies of George Bush”. Not a lot of information, just get mad and stay mad..
That is what the Democratic “base” wanted. That’s what they NEEDED and that’s what they got. It was marketing more than politics. The leaders of the left understood their “target market”. They understood the “brand loyalty” of their lemmings. Factor in some pigmentation and that is all that they needed to do and that’s all that they did. Over and over and over again..
Anger creates liberal votes and conservative apathy. By later on tonight, we will see just exactly how the Democratic “War of Emotion” will impact the next four years.
Don’t give up. Tell the world. Get mad..

Larry,
AWESOME!!! I talked to my mom last night and I swear you tapped my phone!!! You described my mom to a tee!!! As far as the stale Liberal canard of “eight more years of the failed policies of George Bush,” I have an answer: Eight more years of the so-called failed policies of GWB is BETTER than four years of the same failed policies of the last 150 years a la Socialism!!! Although, McCain is SO much different than Bush that my retort is moot to us thinking people, but to a Liberal, it will stop them dead in their stinky tracks.

This time, the hypnotists made people vote for “that one”..

Once again, your words echo through my mind like a beacon of truth, a lighthouse of all that’s RIGHT in the world.
The other day my sister forwarded an email to several friends and family members about the facts behind Chicago’s politics. The news reflected a bleak outlook for America if the Senator of Illinois manages our great nation with the same disdain and carelessness with which he “manages” his state as a Senator. Apparently he wasn’t “present” for much of the time, because the windy city suffers under a blanket of crime and grime. The leaders (all Democrats) of Illinois “left” their people in the wind and the rain, unconcerned with the state of affairs. One of the email’s recipients, replied to all and droned on in a meaningless tirade of generalizations and suppositions, completely unsubstantiated with anything resembling a fact. Conjecture does not a good argument make. She babbled on–as most liberals do–and deigned to propose that conservatives only care about politics every four years and that liberals care about politics every day. She then purported that crime in America is up (not just Chicago) and that it stems from Bush and Cheney’s leadership.
Let’s just say, I let her have it. I armed myself with facts and headlines and fired away at her rose-colored rubbish, leaving nothing but a sizzling dungheap of fallacies and misconceptions. Every single “belief” of hers was unfounded and transparent. Nothing was based on tangible evidence or something remotely resembling truth. Emotions–in the form of anger and a frothy rabid bite–flooded her diatribe. Once I trimmed away the fluff and excess, she was left with a shredded thread–one that will only go so far.
Most of the liberals I meet have no clue why they like NObama and elevate him to demagogue status. They think he’s a great speaker and has purpose and meaning. When I ask, “What purpose? What meaning? Give me examples.” They stand agog, empty handed and empty minded.
I voted this morning. It felt great to cast my vote for McCain. I just pray that the mindless automatons for the other dude stay home today and play Wii or watch Jerry Springer and forget to vote. I pray that our people know what they are doing today.
Thanks again for the insightful article, Larry.

Y’all up for a Hollywood Confidential comment?
Here it is:
The 2008 Campaign Season: The Stuff of Science Fiction
The attenuated election season has come to a close.
To me, it feels as if we’ve been unwittingly cast in a surreal science-fiction flick.
A presidential hopeful runs on a “brother’s keeper” slogan while his own brother lives in a Kenya shack and his auntie abides in a Boston slum.
The right to choose extends to denying even a Band-Aid for a baby brutalized by a botched abortion while compassion gets redefined as a tax rebate in every pot.
A citizen plumber gets the Roto-Rooter treatment while VIP medical records are quarantined and birth certificates are deep-sixed.
The elite media twiddle their thumbs as a vice presidential candidate is hung in effigy and “Halloween art” is the explanation.
A former “SNL” jokester runs for a Senate seat while his current “SNL” pals hit the ratings jackpot with one-sided mockery.
A ballot from a cartoon character barely raises an eyebrow while a ballot from a soldier is pored over with a magnifying glass.
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg is given a halo while Justices Roberts, Alito, Thomas, and Scalia are handed horns and pitchforks.
Reporters are booted from planes and anchors reprimanded for asking questions while the Rev. Jeremiah Wright lands a book deal.
Infomercials get free rein while commercials get censored.
Networks declare races over while encouraging viewers to tune in for the final tallies.
Maybe soon we’ll all be able return to Earth.

JR,
Funny that you mention it..
I wanted like the Devil to get ahold of about five or six of the “I voted today” stickers that they were handing out at the poll earlier..
I wanted to plaster them all over myself and wait for someone to ask me how many times I voted…
By the by, Our state Missouri, is a “show ID”state in order to vote. Two lines at the polling place. The person to my left wasn’t asked to show an ID.. the person in front of me…same. Neither ponied up an ID on their own either. One didn’t even have their registration card and they “looked them up” in this archaic paper bound book..
I wonder how many stickers he had in his pocket..
Don’t give up.
Thanks as always,
Larry

I did get all the stickers from my family member (4) before I went and was shocked that no one attempted to ascertain whether I vote previously or not. I made extra sure to place them in visible places (I even made an effort to make sure one was securely attached while in front of the poll worker), but I was only asked for my name and address and handed a ballot. Now I live in NH (Massachusetts North as it is becoming as the liberal’s who are responsible for that state’s destruction flee into mine to repeat the process), and I am quite sure will become bluer this year.

Larry great article. I have a theory on why liberals are angery all the time. They do not believe in GOD so all they have to look forward to is live a little while, die, be buried, Be eaten by bacteria and worms. I would be angery all the time if that was all I had to took forward to. They want to destroy all religion so everyone is as angery as they are. POOR fools. We have to take back the schools and institutions of higher learning if this is ever to change. Keep up the great work..

The only people who really should vote for BHO are the communists, the Muslims and the looney leftist liberals. The rest of his votes come as a result of BHO’s mastry of “mass hypnosis”. At first, after viewing one of his presentations, my wife felt a very powerfull urge to vote for him. At first glance, he seemed like a good choice until I started to research his past. The reality is that BHO is an extreme racist with very strong communist beliefs who could never be mistaken for a Christian. He is also (like the Clintons) a very competent (compulsive) liar. His close buddy, Bill Ayers wrote his books for him and mentored him closely in his political life. Get ready for $10 per gallon gasoline and $5 per KWH electricity. The international bankers have wanted to destroy the USA for over 200 years and now they will get their wish. Danno // November 4, 2008 at 9:30 pm
Within the last 2 days, I ‘ve heard more from the almost silent Obama potential voters and interestingly, the one common thread that I keep hearing is “Iraq”. What makes it interesting is that it was hardly a key item in the stump speeches, debates or even the radio or television comments. However, had Obama been President, Al-Qaeda would now own Iraq but this wouldn’t have stopped the brain-thrashing that the democrats laid on Bush after they voted yes but saw it as a White House keeper. Most people today will not even logically think any of this through because Tokyo-Pelosi and Reid(?) have successfully taken the enemies line all the way to the victory of Al-Q had not Bush kept the pressure up to force us to win that twisted experience. Logic and the decisions made ‘at the time’ like, the whole world believed Saddam had WMD and he acted like he had WMD, and Clinton had dissolved our CIA ground verification cloakNdagger operations in favor of the more liberal eye-in-the-sky we will be good boys surveillance tactic. Then it was shown that the Oil for Profits money was heavily directed to members of the U.N. Security Council in such a way as we would never get a fair vote from them. But even after a majoritive vote from congress, Bush rushed in overnight 18 months later from 911 towards an illegal war that can’t be won, is illegal, and Bush lied when in fact: (i know facts don’t matter but I’ve ran out of wand-sparkle)
And if your machine can’t open because you have a crank phone, take the damn url to the library, but do see this:
http://www.bercasio.com/movies/dems-wmd-before-iraq.wmv
This is all text, long but read it, the Clinton administration was definitely moving towards doing something major but Monica got in the way:
http://www.fas.org/news/iraq/1998/02/20/98022006_tpo.html
Just to name a few, I have a ton more if you would like.
But Iraq just wasn’t discussed but not sure it would have changed anything. One more key item sure does seem that the liberal side was most successful in getting out the word on ‘VOTE AND YOU’LL GET A CHECK’. That’s certainly a great way to run a country. And of course, it seems they could have ran a serial killer and still won with that kind of logic!
However, in Afghanistan, we are entering the eighth year of war with victory further away than ever. The Taliban grows stronger. U.S. casualties are surging. Opium exports are breaking records. Our NATO allies grow weary. Even the Brits are talking of reconciliation with the Taliban, perhaps accepting a dictator. Perhaps and probably to long, to slow, to costly and two to many would be the medicine that we’ve had a re-action to.
But while all this is going on, we have a nation-full of conservatives who have yet to have had an opportunity to manage government. There’s a part of me that actually doesn’t want John McCain to win but I’ll take all the Palin’s you can throw at me. I think she’s merely hated because she has five kids but we haven’t had an opportunity to watch a good conservative since Reagan. However, did they have to put up a mid-’60’s radical terrorist, part socialist, part doesn’t really have an idea what he’s about to get into and a whole lot of parts that we couldn’t even begin to tell ya what he will do – candidate?!! I can see right now, Hillary would have won by a torrential thunder booming storm!!!! …. but this guy might steal his way past the finish line or might even do better, I just don’t know but I’m still wondering why? I could write 30 pages of why he shouldn’t be elected. I think I’m between a rock and a hard place and I’ll defer to God’s wisdom and grace.
The second item I heard was the Oil Companies and this one became bazaar. One Obama voter I engaged in a ‘careful not to bash a beer bottle over his head’ conversation went something like this … and this guy had a pretty good banking background:
Obama voter: ” … and it’s about time we get these oil companies more in-line with their profits!!”
CNTBABBOHH person:) “… but you don’t necessarily see those wild and over-the-top profits in the Oil Companies stock.”
Obama voter: “yeah but their getting it, what was their profits just this last quarter … (attempting to remember) …”
CNTBABBOHH person: It was a record this last quarter but I’m talking about the overall longer term – “their long term profits have been around 8 to 11 percent”
Obama voter: “oh, it’s been outrageous, their doing something”
CNTBABBOHH person: “are you suggesting they’re keeping double books or something like that?”
Obama voter: “yeah, or something, their raking it off and putting it in their bank or something”
CNTBABBOHH person: “Gas right now is only around $2 and now they have to continue searching for more” (I really wanted to mention hiding it in shoe boxes)
Obama voter: ” errrr, yeah … errrrrrrr, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, they’re doing something that’s not right!!”
After-thought: is this guy drinking the Kool-Aid from the Tokyo-Pelosi camp or am I missing something? And dang, I forgot to mention to him the 15% profits that Government gets. But I’m ready to accept the serial killer as President because I’m tired of the defensive, I would like to sit back and watch the education play out in real time. Have a good one. No one is going to the Chicago rally w/ an armed guard tonight?

Not sure if anyone else experienced what I did today while voting. In this vapid democratic cesspool of a suburb I live in, the Obamazombies were out in full force. Looks like the bottom feeders crawled out from their rocks today to parade around the voting areas with smug expressions on their faces. They would have been better off at home taking a bath. Its not much of a stretch, career wise for Democrats to stand in line for seven hours in a day.

I think the liberals are angrier is their payback for the republicans who want to impeach Clinton for his lies, not about the blow job they claimed it was about. They were angry and still are. The House held more Republicans and they did impeach him. The Senate couldn’t manage to do the same.
Now, payback is a bitch for trying to derail them. Of course I have no proof because they are hiding their true feeling from the public but there continuation of the Bush bashing will go on for years. Can’t wait.

Dear Larry,
Your point is, as ever, perfectly on target. I felt that exact emotion this morning at work. I got mad. I got mad because I listened to several co-workers talk about their candidate. I used facts, logic, and historical examples. I asked on, who has recenlt purchased several firearms, what he would do when the people he helped elect enact laws and restrictions(many of which are already in place) to make him surrender those firearms. the response was twofold. “One man can’t make that happen” , and “that’s why we have the 2nd amendment”. My answer that a. ” you vote for the man who agrees with those who do not want you to have guns. those who agree with him vote for him. then he elecdts, or helps get elected in positions of power those who agree with him, and they then act to change those laws in their favor….let me tell …that’s one of the “changes” i do not want. another co=worker says the american people would not stand for nor let that happen.. I asked “are these the same people who just helped those others get elected?”…One co-worker told me I was scaring him. Good, you should be scared. We all should be scared. when I asked the co-worker who recently purchased the firearms what he would do when they come to take them from him, his response was..”I won’t surrender them..I”ll fight them violently if I have to”.. It was lost on him that to do so would give credence to the liberal’s argument that he should not have been allowed to have the guns in the first place. It was also lost on him that he would violently oppose, if necessary, the man..people..he helped elect in the first place. and that just a highlight of one of the debates/arguments…All i have left to say is God help us all……………………….

Larry,
Thanks for all of your hard work and insight and thanks to all of the great commenters here.
It’s 8:30 C.S.T. and it looks like (unless there is a miracle) Obamabi will be our next President.
Please allow me to vent my frustrations as this election comes to a close (a couple of very important personal issues to me combined with our progression twoards socialism).
There is a Storm coming in our country.
The storm I am referencing here has noting to do with any atmospheric phenomenon.
Here are some reasons why:
We have stood by and allowed over 48 million children to be murdered while in their Mother’s womb (what should be the safest place for a child has become the most dangerous).
There is no reason for anyone to have an abortion via convenience today. There are several organizations that will not only support the Mother financially during her pregnancy, but will also find adoptive parents.
What about Rape, Incest or a Mother’s health?
Many of you may already know these statstics and facts, but for those who don’t:
The actual percentage of U.S. Abortions are as follows: 0.3% in cases of rape and incest; in cases of risk to maternal health or life, 1%; and in cases of fetal abnormality, 0.5%. About 98% of abortions in the United States are elective, including socio-economic reasons or for birth control.
Obama not only supports Abortion on Demand, but was the only Senator to oppose and actually speak against the “Born Alive Protection Act”. This act protects a child that survives a botched late term abortion and is considered viable, if medical intervention is initiated, instead of setting the child aside and doing nothing until the child dies. This act passed and is a matter of law despite Obama’s objections.
Obama has stated that “if his daughters make a mistake and become pregnant”, He would not want them to burdened with a child.
Talk about the shedding of innocent blood. There is none so innocent as a child in their Mother’s womb….
Same Sex Marriage. Our country is increasingly becoming not only accepting of a Man marrying a Man or a Woman marrying a Woman, We as a nation are beginning to put the stamp of approval upon it and making it an actual law.
On these two issues, let me perfectly clear. Criminals that bomb Abortion clinics or attack someone that is a homosexual causing physical harm belong in prison and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
The greedy abortionist and the lost weary soul who has become enslaved in the homosexual life style deserve the same protections from physical harm as anyone else in this country.
However, when these practices become accepted, approved of and encouraged by the people of this nation and the government that represents them destruction will follow.
These 2 governmental approved practices represent a culture of death (neither produces life) which our nation, like any other nation before it, will not survive.
The perfect storm combining the vast expansion of government’s role in the American economy, a looming Obama triumph and likely huge Democratic gains in Congress present the most serious threat of the onset of socialism the United States has faced since the New Deal.
But while it became obvious that FDR’s goal was to save capitalism, not to replace it, it is by no means clear that Barack Obama is similarly inclined.
I tip my hat to Obama. I respect the fact that He has made it absolutely clear that He supports the “re-distrubution of wealth” He does not tip-toe around the subject.
He is saying you may agree with me or you may oppose me, but that is what I believe is best for our nation – and there are a lot of otherwise seemingly sane people who have allowed themselves to be Obamatized (and a lot of nuts) that agree.
That idea has been attempted and failed in every nation on Earth except the United States.
The contrasts are clear. 100% Organizational supporters of Obama include a Who Who’s list of radical liberal left wing demogogues. ACLU, every Gay/Lesbian and Same Sex Marriage proponent in the country, every Atheist organization and according to the Rapper Snoop Dog an entire new voting bloc has emerged: Gang Members, who rarely ever vote, but will be turning out in record numbers.
Joining them arm in arm are a lot of folks who disagree with every thing some of the groups listed above represent.
However; they blame the Bush Administration for every aspect of the deplorable economic conditions our country finds itself.
That’s a normal reaction, but naive. That’s a completely different topic, but the Democrats of Congress, and especially Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, based upon their Congressional testimony on numerous occasions, most predominantly since 2004 are neck deep in guilt and stupidity.
Ignorance, stupidity, selfishness and greed has led us to this point in our history and almost all of us have played a role, either by our actions or our apathy.
The current crisis makes it clear that the government will be invited inside the management and ownership of our top financial and corporate institutions. But it is unclear whether it will ever withdraw after the crisis has passed.
Obama’s stated goal of “spreading the wealth around” may indicate an inclination to embrace European-style socialist democracy. His emphasis on promoting “fairness” in income distribution and his willingness to sacrifice economic growth by raising taxes on “the rich” all seem to point in that direction.
Will Obama realize that while government is needed to prevent a crash, it is hopelessly inadequate as an engine of prosperity?
Bureaucrats are neither sufficiently competent nor honest nor independent enough to make key decisions about where capital should be invested, except when it is needed to extinguish the flames of crisis.
It looks like Obama will win and if He takes a solidly and overwhelmingly Democratic Congress with him — including a filibuster-proof Senate — we will have to entrust our system of private ownership, limited government and free enterprise to the tender mercy of the left.
But the newly empowered liberals will not have to breach the walls of the private sector, justifying each new intrusion by argument and logic.
Rather, they will already be inside the gates, invited there to save these institutions from their own history of greed and mismanagement.
Will the left simply leave government there, effectively converting our private enterprise system, where government absorbs about a third of our GDP into a social democracy, a la Europe, where the public sector accounts for almost half of the economy?
This would complete the Trifecta for our great country’s demise.
I realize that people like me will very likely, in the future be known as dinosaurs and completely out of touch. I will be considered a bigot, unenlightened, and judgemental.
I assure you I am not.
I am just sad that the American people have chosen style over substance and feelings (as Larry has talked about) over common sense….
God Bless you all and Keep the faith.
I believe this election is not a slam to conservatism as much as it is a vote against George Bush and Republicans over the fear of the economy.

Who so ever runs this country is only a man among men. He who runs the universe is so much more. I know we must remember who is in control here. That be God… I prayed that His will be done and so it has. So be it. Now we are tested… what do we do, where do we go?
We stay here. We learn from one another. We go on. We never give up. We continue to pray that His will be done.
In no way is this the end… no, no… this is the beginning. Larry (everyone) let’s rock cause the real battle begins right now. When the going gets tough, the tough turn pro! Time to define who WE are.
Peace (and some kick ass attitude) be with you all;

we’re already budgeting for the extra $10k PER YEAR this LIAR is going to cost us.
Make photocopies of your current paychecks.
In 12 months we will compare it to the most recent paycheck.
I will bet that entire paycheck that my federal taxes WILL go up.
At that point, we can all say with assurity, Barack Hussein Obama is a DAMN LIAR.
Not that the media will report it, but we can say it.
STITCH!

Dearest Family,
John McCain has made his concession speech.
NLTZ concedes NOTHING.
We have fought the good fight.
We knew what was at stake.
I will have something new out shortly.
This was a tough fight that on papaer should have gone our way.
Now is when we really sink our heels in…

We conservatives are in for it now. With Obama in the White House, all the things we’ve dreaded would come to pass will. There’s barely enough Republicans in the Senate to mount a fillibuster, and all it would take is one defection and we’re done there. Worse, in the Congress they’ve got enough votes to overturn a veto–sorry, there won’t be any of those coming.
As it is, I’ve got mindless Obamazombies at work and in my family whom must be overjoyed that their Messiah has come, and I’ll just have to put up and take it. All the comfort that this conservative will be able to take in all this is that all the awful consequences that are to come will have brought upon us by our own hand, and we will have deserved it all. we don’t need Rev. Wright to tell us ‘God —- America’, we’ve already done it to ourselves. Goodnight and Good Luck.

Well Larry count me in. We all new it was possible because we no long have a media that tells truth, they only want to suppress it.
We are going to now finally be able to hear the tape the LA Times suppress just as the media did with Bill Clinton. At least they did get all the seat in the Senate as the media predicted. But, its still bad.
Conservative will bounce back because the liberal always become arrogant and eventually it turns people off. And as the no tax cut will never see the light of day, we also know that. Its happened before.
I have a voice and I won’t allow it to be stifled. God gave me the ability to write and I will continue to use it until the day I died. Larry, you are another great writer with great insight. Keep the writing up as well.
God Bless America

Yes, get mad, and organize for 2010. Obama said in his acceptance speech that his election is a beginning but warned of the “steep ” climb ahead, He admitted that he cannot fulfill his promises, even within his “first term.” He has manipulated the emotions of the electorate and raised them to a frenetic pitch, and now he is desparately trying to lower expectations. There will always be those who will love BO unconditionally, but the remainder of the voters will be waiting for him to define “change.” They weren’t content with low inflation , low unemployment rates, and lowered taxes, so let’s see how pleased they will be with the reverse.

Is it a surprise?NO, 40 years of “outcome based”education Rush’s label of “young skulls full of mush”is so true(seeing the parade of young people gushing about obama. No,hollywood and the media’s love of anything or anyone left of lenin,or homosexuals, perverts, and all the rest. No,when GOD is banned and islam is promoted. No,when factory workers would rather have a union than try on their own merit. No,when we let the congress vote their own benifits and salaries(T.Jefferson must be spinning so fast in his grave that he’s just a blur). No,when gop spokes persons talk about greater co-operation across party lines.Well a change is a coming ,and for one I’m going to “cling to my religon and my guns and pray for the salvation of this land!

Let’s dispense with the explanations. Who put him in office? It was the people who will directly benefit from huge tax increases and………White women. We will have to live with the consequences for at least 4 years. The cards were dealt and the hand has been played. We lost.
STITCH // November 5, 2008 at 4:13 pm
the fight has just begun.
I now consider our occupied by foreign powers.
We WILL organize and drive these liars from office.
Throughout this whole thing I kept getting the impression that the Republican party was just not even trying.
How many times did Biden say Obama is not ready to be president?
Yet, not one single commercial replaying it.
Watch carefully.
Record EVERYTHING.
Take notes.
Be prepared.
These jokers now have sufficient rope with which to hang themselves.
Question is, even if the Republicans can use the coming failures against the Demos and regain control of Congress (and the WH), will it be enough to undo the damage that is about to befall this once great land?
For the first time in my life, I am ashamed of my country.

Well Larry,
I’m really going to need patience now.
I only hope I live long enough to see either of two things;
1) Retribution heaped in copious amounts on those who voted in a popularity contest because of race, addiction to entitlements, and zero understanding of the issues.
or;
2) The skulking and licking of wounds by Republicans and Ultra-Conservatives who let things get so out of hand as to engender yesterdays debacle, and then, like the Phoenix, rise up from the ashes to take back our Republic.
In trying to make some sense of yesterdays outcome, I found, although of little comfort, this explanation;

Larry – sorry to read that your vacation was so sun-less. I don’t have the time to read all of the terrific comments above, but they are GREAT!
So glad this election hysteria is over; all we now have to tolerate is the unending gushing over The Chosen One by the media. I am so glad my wife talked me into buying a Prius last December. Since Nobama won’t drill, OPEC has a free hand in price-hiking once again. The public is being lulled into a false sense of security over cheaper gas. Wait until the prices start spiking in the near future. $4 gas will look like the good old days. Same with the coal producers and the carbon taxes. What a mess. This article is the best one I’ve ever read by you.
noleftturnz // November 5, 2008 at 5:58 pm
Rick2,
Thanks for your kind words.
If you are bored, I’ll give you a walk through on how the article actually “happened”..
It started as a return comment to another article.
Before I knew it, it had reached 550 words.
I thought, “Just make it an article..”
Later that day after posting it on NLTZ, I added another 600 more words.
When NoLeftTurnz, Vol.III comes out, the “directors cut” so to speak version, all 1200 words will be in there..
A Day in the life of NLTZ.. riveting.
Thanks as always,
Larry

Larry,
Murtha is the proverable enigma, wrapped in a riddle, wrapped in a puzzle.
His only claim to fame, as I see it, is his ability to BS his constituents to ever remain gluttons for punishment.
But fear not, remember, what goes around, comes around.

Keep this in mind… Pelosi had said that $5 a gallon for gas would be cheap!
And, that prehistoric bitch has invested MILLIONS of her own money into “alternative energies”.
She plans to have congress divert BILLIONS into these scam companies to which she owns stock. Their stocks will soar and that dinosaur will reap millions upon millions in return.
However, this technology still runs 5-10 times more expensive than fossil fuels.
So guess what….. they will artificially drive the price of gas up (probably by prohibiting foreign imports of oil) to about $10 a gallon.
Then, that pseudo-electric-corn-burning-solar-wind-hydrogen-anti-matter car will look mighty appealing.
If you live 20 miles from work, be prepared to spend $50 a day just in fuel.
Is that too much to pay?? Then you’ll have to move closer to work. Abandon your nice home in the suburbs (its ok, da gubment will pay for it) and move in to the city next to Trone & La-a (that’s pronounce LaDasha).
the fight is upon us…

I feel that conservative’s voice need to be recognizes. Over the last few weeks as I was sitting in my hospital bed I started to think about infiltrating the whole liberal thing and how could conservative start to retaliate and slowly work our way into the Courts, education, media and entertainment. God knows they ridicule and mocked us for decades and act as if the word conservative is worse than any curse that they could put into an Eddie Murphy or Martin Lawrence movie.
Conservatives needs to come up with a plan, and I think I may have stumbled onto something. One of my pet privies is the members of Congress who believe once elected, it’s a lifetime membership. Senator Robert Byrd been in Office 50 years and I’m not sure as he sits in the capitol rotunda if he’s even breathing, I think you need to put mirror under his nose to find out. My favorite Senator Edward “Teddy” Kennedy takes a short ride off a long pier. This jerk should have been behind bars decades ago, but because of his last name, the Kennedy’s family history is all about getting away with murder, rape by slapping a wad of cash to law enforcement to look the other way. Their father did it, and his bad behavior rubbed off on his sons, but clearly Teddy is the real gem among them all. He has spent 40 years in the Senate and according to the National Enquirer today they says he’s on his death bed, but death can’t come too soon. The fact that he endorsed Obama and one of Obama’s supporters and friends dedicated his book to the killer of his older brother, Bobby just shows how deprive and corrupt they all are. And no one is batting an eyelash. Had it been a Republican their righteous indignation would come screaming to a halt.
But for the liberal democrat it’s just another day in the Office and as long as it stays in the liberal family it’s okay.
But I digress; I’ve been doing some online investigating and listened to others who are sick of these jerks retaining power for decades. The longer they stay in Congress, the more likely they will become corrupted, see Senator Stevens, they start to believe they are invincible and their constitutes won’t mind if I miss use my power for my personal growth and add to my wealth. Nancy Pelosi will use insider trading to build her portfolio when it comes to energy. They are going to raise oil price and place high fines pushing gas prices to over $10.00 a gallon because of fossil fuel emissions. She then plans to take her own personal wealth and invest in those companies that will reap millions for her and her liberal cronies. I believe that’s known as insider trading.
I wont to start an organization that outs these elitist and put them where they belong, jail or out of work. They use their influence to get personal wealth and abuse their power for the wrong reasons. I’m sure that those who voted them into office would not be happy.
Senator Byrd has gain millions for West Virginia in earmarks so he can name all state buildings after himself, I’m surprise he hasn’t change the name of the state after himself. Do they American public really want their hard earned taxes misused this way? If we can exposes their abuses and create angrier from the decent hard working Americans. They will see this and learn even more taxes are on the way that the liberals believe the public won’t mind. We all know how out-of-touch they all are living in the ivory towers.
The documents can be obtained by the Freedom of Information Act, this could work. As the public comes to some conclusion we could them demand term limit so we can avoid any further corruption. Before things start to get even worse as I believe they will with a out of control President with an out of control Congress who only want to tax, tax, tax and spend, spend, spend without any transparency or accountability we are doomed. What do you think?
