Stranger:

In case that link does not work. this is the e-mail I received.

My Supreme Court Nominee‏
From: President Barack Obama (info@messages.whitehouse.gov)
Sent: Tue 7/14/09 11:50 AM
To: ddunbar130@msn.com

Good Morning,

Yesterday, Judge Sonia Sotomayor made her opening statement to the Senate Judiciary Committee and moved another step closer to taking a seat on the United States Supreme Court. In case you missed it, watch the video of her opening statement here:

As President, there are few responsibilities more serious or consequential than the naming of a Supreme Court Justice, so I want to take this opportunity to tell you about the qualifications and character that informed my decision to nominate Judge Sotomayor.

Judge Sotomayor's brilliant legal mind is complemented by the practical lessons that can only be learned by applying the law to real world situations.

In the coming days, the hearings will cover an incredible body of work from a judge who has more experience on the federal bench than any incoming Supreme Court Justice in the last 100 years. Judge Sotomayor's professional background spans our judicial system — from her time as a big-city prosecutor and a corporate litigator, to her work as a federal trial judge on the U.S. District Court, and an appellate judge on the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

And then there is Judge Sotomayor's incredible personal story. She grew up in a housing project in the South Bronx — her parents coming to New York from Puerto Rico during the Second World War. At the age of nine, she lost her father, and her mother worked six days a week just to put food on the table. It takes a certain resilience and determination to rise up out of such circumstances, focus, work hard and achieve the American dream.

This character shined through in yesterday's opening statement: Watch the video.

In Judge Sotomayor, our nation will have a Justice who will never forget her humble beginnings, will always apply the rule of law, and will be a protector of the Constitution that made her American dream and the dreams of millions of others possible. As she said so clearly yesterday, Judge Sotomayor's decisions on the bench "have been made not to serve the interests of any one litigant, but always to serve the larger interest of impartial justice."

In anticipation of today's first round of questioning, I hope you'll share this email widely, because Judge Sotomayor's confirmation is something that affects every American. It's important for these hearings to be about Judge Sotomayor's own record and her capacity for the job — not any political back and forth that some in Washington may use to distract you. What members of the Judiciary Committee, and the American people, will see today is a sharp and fearless jurist who does not let powerful interests bully her into breaking from the rule of law.

Thank you,
Barack Obama

Stranger:

We certainly are "Stranger[s] in a Strange Land "and we need to "Take Back [Y]our Government" in whatever way we can. It would be nice if we could do it through the election process, however, as long as ACORN and the other liberal nuts are in the picture, that may not be possible. We saw what happened last November.

Meanwhile, I am trying to drown my so called representatives. As a matter of fact I just e-mailed the Illegal Alien living in Our White House to oppose his racist Supreme Court nominee. I received the following piece of drivel as an answer:

I received this email and was asked to sign a petition you do need to pay to sign this petition but it might be worth for many of you.

This is a copy of what the fax will look like in it final state.

Re: Petition to OPPOSE AND FILIBUSTER the amendment replacing S. 909

Dear Senator:

I hereby petition you to OPPOSE AND FILIBUSTER THE "HATE CRIMES" AMENDMENT, which was until recently labeled S. 909 (but it was so terrible it couldn't be passed standing alone) and so instead it will soon become a hidden amendment to another "must-move" bill. This so-called "Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act" must be defeated.

This amendment will mirror the House bill passed as H.R. 1913, which makes "sexual orientation," "gender," and "gender identity" into federally-protected classes under the law, and codifies protection of up to 547 types of sexually deviant behaviors, including:

    * Incest - sex with one's offspring (a crime, of course)
    * Necrophilia - sexual relations with a corpse, also a crime
    * Pedophilia - sex with an underage child, another crime
    * Zoophilia - bestiality, a crime in numerous states
    * Voyeurism - a criminal offense in most states
    * Fronteurism - a man approaching an unknown woman and rubbing against her buttocks
    * Coprophilia - sexual arousal from feces
    * Urophilia - sexual arousal from urine

This legislation begins to lay the legal foundation and framework to investigate, prosecute and persecute pastors, youth pastors, Bible teachers, and anyone else whose Bible speech and thought is based upon and reflects the truths found in the Bible.

S. 909 broadly defines "intimidation," thus a pastor's sermon could be considered "hate speech" under this legislation if heard by an individual who then acts aggressively against persons based on any "sexual orientation." The pastor could be prosecuted for "conspiracy to commit a hate crime."

If you vote for this bill, you will be responsible for elevating pedophiles and other bizarre sexual orientations, as well as drag queens, transgenders, lesbians and gay men to the level of protection of that already given to African Americans, Hispanics and other minorities in the law.

BUT SEXUALLY DEVIANT BEHAVIOR SHOULD NOT BE PROTECTED BY LAW.

Please OPPOSE AND FILIBUSTER any amendment similar to S. 909.

The solution is to flood congress with E-mails and snail mail, until they are buried.
Nothing will make a politician geek like a few hundred letters threatening him with a defeat at the polls. If the target doesn't toe the line then help get him thrown out of office as promised. It is time we the people realized that it is the people that decide who serves a new term. SIASL

I think are girl is trying to break out from behind Obama's shadow. Here's an email I got.

Hillary Rips Obama White House Hiring Process: Ridiculous, Nightmare

Monday, July 13, 2009 3:05 PM

WASHINGTON -- Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is blaming an exhaustive White House vetting process for the fact that the Obama administration has not yet named a person to run the U.S. Agency for International Development.

Six months into the administration's tenure without having appointed someone to the agency's top spot, Clinton told USAID employees on Monday that several people had turned down the job due to overly burdensome financial and personal disclosure requirements that she called a "nightmare," "frustrating beyond words" and "ridiculous."

She also said the White House had turned down her request to announce on Monday that someone ù expected by officials to be physician and Harvard University professor Paul Farmer who is well known for his work in Haiti ù would be named to the post soon.

"Let me just say it's not for lack of trying," Clinton said in response to an employee's question about the delay, despite her and President Barack Obama's stated desire to have USAID play a bigger role in American foreign policy. "We have worked very hard with the White House on looking for a candidate who, number one, wants the job."

The comment drew laughter from the audience, prompting her to say: "It's been offered." She then launched into a critique of the vetting process.

"The clearance and vetting process is a nightmare and it takes far longer than any of us would want to see," Clinton said. "It is frustrating beyond words. I pushed very hard last week when I knew I was coming here to get permission from the White House to be able to tell you that help is on the way and someone will be nominated shortly."

"I was unable," she said. "The message came back: 'We're not ready.'"

Clinton said the vetting process for senior officials gets worse in each successive administration with the requirements demanding in some cases that candidates hire lawyers and accountants, detail everywhere they have lived since they were 18 and name every foreign citizen they know. "I mean, it is ridiculous," she said.

"Some very good people just didn't want to be vetted," she said.

USAID is in charge of America's foreign assistance. Obama and Clinton have said the agency's work will be essential to what they have called "smart power," a foreign policy strategy centered on defense, diplomacy and development.

Michele (LA) and et al,

I was trying to make the point that the taxpayers from each of the 3 states mention have a long history with accepting these lying scumbags as being the best they have to offer. Part of the pattern appears to be vote one corrupt politician and replace it with another. They already know what Barney Frank will do, but if they vote him out will he be replaced by someone far worse (probably not, he is the bottom of the barrel).

There is no longer honesty and doing what's right for the Country as a whole; it's more about platitudes and the banality. Let’s face it 95% of politicians once in Congress they will do whatever they want after being elected until re-election time rolls around again. They stopped listening to the public a long time ago when they realized that wealthy clients of Lobbyist Firms could change the course of their re-election bids, no longer did they need to pander to their constituents, please vote for because I’m looking out for you seems to be no more. When you have foreign dictator willing to spend millions and billions at their disposal the taxpayers fell by the wayside and they happily accepted Chavez and the lobbying firm who is representing him money. As the old saying goes “shit floats”. It about time American taxpayers buys a skimmer and used it for the same purpose that it was created for, to skim the crap off the top.

The policies need to change and term limits and the number of times a candidate can run needs to be our common focus. If we want real change and not the platitudes that Obama thinks he can get by with have no real purpose for most Americans. The taxpayers are generally fed up; they no longer seem willing to accept our same-old, same-old “postulating politicians.” Those are the far right and far left will never see each others side. It’s the middle of the road people like ourselves who can change political policies of what is acceptable and what will we no longer tolerated. Our numbers are growing every day, and most people here in Alabama have had ENOUGH!! As stated before there are lawn sign, banners and Billboards with the “had enough? Term Limits”

Going through the supermarket and Wal-Mart, when there were once poster, banners and t-shit about Obama. I was there yesterday and I noticed they were gone. Where did they go?

If this is what you have to offer as a candidate, here’s your pink slip and don’t let the door hit on the way out. We have about 18 mouths to find better candidates then the current lot of political rejects.

But don’t get caught up with the liberal distractions of Sonia Sotomayor, trying to nail Dick Cheney, again, Bad Policies from the CIA, again, the Cap ‘n Trade Bill, the Health care Reform Bill are all distractions that the liberal media is pushing and pushing hard. This is ALL ABOUT THE STIMULUS BILL THAT IS NOT WORKING. Keeping us caught up on all this other stuff so we won’t realize we have no jobs and no possibility of getting one and the economy is still in the crapper.

There is no longer honesty and doing what’s right for the Country as a whole; it’s more about platitudes and the banality.

Today's petition is to Defend unemployed Americans. Keep the four E-Verify, Fence and No-Match amendments in the Homeland Security spending bill. The Senate overwhelmingly passed these amendments to ensure that returning veterans and other unemployed Americans get jobs and that illegal foreign workers not be able to take the jobs from them.

Eileen, "I surrender!" Although my comment was meant specifically for sex scandals, not corruption, I concede to the guilt of many Louisiana corrupt politicans. There are still many making money from having "family" members buy land and having the state build reservoirs around which multimillion dollar homes, boat docks, etc are built. Some of these are built over land designated a habitat for endangered species. The list is long. We are, however, slowly taking more responsibility as citizens. Ex. The ground roots campaign to stop raises for the legislature in 2008. We also have a decent govenor for a change. Remember "The Road Home" program was just one of Blanco's unfortunate mistakes.
Thank you for this research. It must have taken hours. I will make good use of it, I promise.
