A Self Sustaining Entity

The liberals insist in over involving themselves in anything and everything. Acknowledging that the “liberal definitional inversion” is deeply embedded within each their moronic mantras is of paramount importance in order to dissect their demagoguery with surgical precision. For example, the “equality of opportunity” in their dirty hands morphs into the “equality of outcome”. Since the left demands an “equality of outcome” as opposed to an “equality of opportunity”, they have to immerse themselves to an illogical degree in the “day to day operations” of everything that they “selflessly” impose themselves upon. Combining their nonsensical nomenclature with the instinctively intrusive idea of “government”, unfortunately creates the progressive “perfect storm”..

Up until quite recently, the liberal “over involvement” has been manifestly apparent when it comes to the “environment”. The liberals will never realize that their “concern” more often than not, actually retards the environment, which if left to its own devices, is a self-sustaining entity. As an example, one group of liberals will bellow for windmills as an “alternative energy source” and another group of liberals will sue the previous group of liberals because their windmills will “kill too many birds”.. Liberals apparently don’t even trust each other to protect the Earth..

That’s right, in July of 2005, the “Center For Biological Diversity” filed suit against the wind farm operators of Altamount Pass “to reduce bird deaths” related to their production of “clean, renewable energy”.. The “Center” only requested six and a half million dollars to preserve bird habitats in the area from the dangerous Altamont Pass liberals..

The liberal embittered enviro-eccentrics have an innate propensity for being embarrassingly wrong but they have never been taken to task for it. In a number of cases, they have actually been rewarded and bestowed accolades for their intellectual ineptitude.

In the April 1975 edition of Newsweek magazine, Peter Gwynne contributed an article entitled “The Cooling World”. The prevailing winds back then, hopefully not provided by the aforementioned “murderous windmills”, contained the bleating of “scientists” convinced that the “New Ice Age” was upon us..

Dr. Paul Ehrlich, Stanford biologist and “author” of “The Population Bomb”, (located in the “infantile fiction” section of your local used book store..) in the late 1960’s (the epicenter of imbecilic “thought”) made a name for himself by not only predicting “mass famines in the United States in the 1970’s and the 1980’s..” but also claiming that “hundreds of millions will die in smog disasters in New York and Los Angeles”.. Not to be outdone by the sonority his own stupidity, he further postulated that “U.S. life expectancy will drop to 42 years by 1980 due to cancer epidemics..”

The “name that he made for himself” was “laughingstock”.. We certainly expect nattering nincompoops like Al Gore to embrace such hilarious hysteria for the profit, but tenured “scientists” like Ehrlich who are obviously overwhelmed by the undertow of their insipid liberalism should be euthanized for the sake of humanity..

So that they may properly propagate, the left must manufacture exorbitant amounts of hysteria, catastrophe and alarm. One of the “global cooling” gurus who conveniently became one of the “global warming” goons, Stephen Schneider, actually said, “to capture the public imagination, we have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified dramatic statements and little mention of any doubts one might have. Each of us has to decide the right balance between being effective and being honest”..

Understanding this inherent imbalance of intellectualization leads us from the environment to the “financial crisis”, the “economic stimulus plan” and the Obama/Pelosi caliphate..

The “environment” now becomes the “free market” and again, if left to its own devices and if the moronic meddlers of the left would cease with their communism, the free market would take care of itself. When working with, not against, the free market, the government should relinquish responsibilities, not reinforce them.

There is nothing “new” relative to anything that the liberals do. This Obama “plan” is beginning to stink more and more like the “New Deal” each and every day. Years after the Roosevelt mystique has worn off, economists are concluding that the policies of the New Deal actually prolonged the Great Depression. The “economic stimulus package”, based upon the same utopian collectivist governmental intrusion as the New Deal will have the same exasperating effect upon us and the economy.

UCLA economists Harold L. Cole and Lee E. Ohanian have studied the New Deal intensely for over four years and they have concluded that the Democratic impertinence added years of unnecessary suffering to the Great Depression. The “Depression” then became “Great” under the totalitarian tutelage of the Democrats. That is not only Obama-esque “change”, it is another pristine example of “progress, progressive style” and “we ain’t seen nothin’ yet”..

In 2004, Ohanian said that, relative to the Great Depression, “a relapse isn’t (wasn’t) likely unless lawmakers gum up a recovery with ill-conceived stimulus policies.” This proves that the “rush” demanded by Pelosi and Obama, a “rush” that didn’t allow for economists to properly “vet” this bill, will bring about another Great Depression because “lawmakers (will) gum up a recovery with ill-conceived stimulus policies.” That isn’t even taking into account the multiple billions in “ill-conceived policies” that have nothing at all to do with the economy that have been “liberally” (criminally) interlarded into this “bill”..

Cole said that, “He (Roosevelt) came up with a recovery package that would be unimaginable today, allowing businesses in every industry to collude and (for) workers to demand salaries about 25 percent above where they ought to have been..” That seems to prove that occasionally, economists aren’t always the best prognosticators of the progressive political pogroms, circa 2009 because yesterday’s “unimaginable” is here today.. Here the collusion involves the lack of “accountability” and the liberal enabling and subsequent rewarding of the sub prime scandal and all of its parasitical participants.

Cole said, “The fact that the Depression dragged on for years convinced generations of economists and policy makers that capitalism could not be trusted to recover from depressions..” The only “economists and policy makers” who would not trust capitalism were and are the Marxist ones who perennially voted and vote “liberal”. “Depressions” of their own making were just their “convenient excuse” or the “inconvenient truth” for them to come out of the collectivist closet, so to speak..

Cole continued on, “..and that significant government intervention was required to achieve good outcomes..” “Good” for whom, I would ask.. Here the economists become perfect prognosticators as the liberals truly and childishly believe that their oppressive oligarchy, which can easily be termed “significant government intervention”, will achieve “good outcomes” when history has proven that their carcinogenic contact with capitalism invariably begets communism. This “bill” will prove to be no different.

If the liberals could keep their hands off of the free market and capitalism, (“Keep your laws off my life savings”, if I may paraphrase the disgusting liberal abortion mongers..) this “Depression”, which they themselves have cultivated, would pass much quicker because the free market, “free” in this case of liberals, is a self sustaining entity.

1995 Nobel Laureate in economics Robert E. Lucas Jr., in 2004 said, “The prevention and cure of depressions is a central mission of macroeconomics, and if we can’t understand what happened in the 1930’s, how can we be sure it won’t happen again?” The only way that “we can make sure it won’t happen again” is to place the liberal genus on the “political endangered species list” because it is the “central mission” of the progressive pathos to facilitate and ferment “depressions” of any and all kinds. The “Greater”, the better..

  1. Liberals: “Ya’ gotta hate ’em”..

They are an endless supply of material.

Never give in, never give up, never again.

  2. If I am not mistaken, the biggest reason for a liberal’s existence is to try controlling everybody else. Maybe that is why they are not on the “right.”

  3. Todd,

    You are not mistaken.

    “Control” is the key.

We cannot be controlled, so we have no use for the liberal “empathy”.

Those who “escape” the liberal “Stockholm Syndrome” of permanent welfare, etc., have no use any longer for the leftists, thus the need to “keep them down”..

“Transparency” comes from our shedding the light of truth upon the liberals and their “policies”..

    Thanks as always,

  4. Dave, Anaheim, CA

It isn’t by coincidence that WE are called “The Right.” Instead of throwing tea in Boston Harbor, it’s time to throw liberals (including Specter, Snowe and Collins) into the Potomac.

  5. This is off topic, but we finally have a Senator questioning Obama’s eligibility to be president;
    I hope this link works.

  6. Todd,

Careful, or the Obama admin will “rush” to pass their version of the “Six Acts” (U.K. 1819) and attach it to the “Fairness Doctrine” thereby killing two birds with one stone..

Whatever happened to the liberal mantra, “Question Authority”?

  7. Larry:

I love reading your commentary. I was wanting to know if you were going to comment on the monkey cartoon in NY? What a joke ‘$harpton’ and others are saying it’s racist. I just see them saying that congress is a bunch of monkies. I see that they are commenting on the chimp attack too. It’s clever it’s not racist. If that was racist they may as well stand outside of the careerbuilder.com building and claim they are racist too. Half their commercials ask if you are tired of working with monkeys. Race will never die. It’s too profitable.

  8. Larry,
If the Obama administration really wants a revolution on it’s hands, that would be the way to guarantee one. Of course, many people ( liberal idiots) will claim it is less offensive than George W with the Patriot Act.

  9. Joel,

I’ve commented on the “topic” of $harpton within “Frank Conversations” and many others. Also talked briefly about the “issue” itself within a few comments.

You are right, it is a “non-issue” and focusing in on it now brings undue attention to the racists who are desperately fighting their own obscurity. I liked your take on the whole “phony scenario” and I would love for the “players” involved to fade away..

The world will be a better place when $harpton and Jack$on are drawing unemployment..

    Thanks as always,

  10. Contact Sen. Shelby here… http://shelby.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=ContactSenatorShelby.EmailSenatorShelby

Thanks Todd! I am hoping the Senator gets many letters asking him to follow up on this. We conservatives simply must find a leader not afraid of taking on this nations media gestapo.

  11. Is Alan Keyes that leader? I honestly don’t know.

What he says here is compelling however.

  12. Larry:

I have read your writings on ‘$harpton’ and Jackson. Love them (the writings). Question…to be a sucessful extortionist and race baiter do you have to become a REVEREND??? I bet God isn’t too happy with that. Just to let you know I have something that will make your head explode. Believe me it’s not shocking. I work at a bank and I have so many Mexican, Vietnamese, and the like come in. They have lived in this country for years some even decades and they are cashing gov’t checks and they can NOT speak a lick of English. It’s disgusting to think that they can migrate over here and not assimilate and our gov’t pays them. Heck I hardly make anything at the bank and I get a hundred back on my fed and owe a hundred to state and they get checks for thousands of dollars. What an insult to the rest of us. Oh yeah, I have told my friends about this and I want to see what you think. We truly are turning into a nation of cowards (well percieved that way bc the left controls all media outlets). When we have gays interupting church mass, knocking crosses out of old womens hands, giving detainees Habius Corpus, shutting down Gitmo, holding rally’s praising the death of our soldiers, etc and noone stops this madness… I think our country is going to implode. I don’t see the other side shouting from the rooftops. The other side just go along with it and are either afraid to say whats right or don’t think they can help correct the country. I think the US is going to fall just like ROME. Heck China owns us Larry. I think we are starting to fall at an alarming rate. 25 states I saw on the news this morning are threatning to cede…NH oddly enough was the one that got this ball rolling.

  13. Joel,

We are a “nation of cowards”. I agreed with the attorney general stating that he was , “right for the wrong reasons..”

There is alot to your comment, alot of solid stuff, more than can be addressed in a mere comment from me.

China “owns” us because the manufacturing that used to take place here is now done elsewhere because the manufacturers don’t want to have to pay the typical “labor union inflated” salary and benefits package. Then your DVD player costs you $799.99..

They move their plants in order to escape the liberal taxation of their materials as well.

When China makes that DVD player that sells for 69.99 at your local Wal Mart, remember that the left believes that if someone HAS something that isn’t available to EVERYONE, there is “discrimination” and there is a plain “hatefulness” involved..

Remember, fifty to sixty years ago, one person on the block might have a television, now there are fifty to sixty televisions in the average home..

Let’s not get into the “quality” of what is being manufactured either in China or America..the “disposable” society takes on many scenarios..

The “jobs Americans won’t do” have simply been priced out of the logical market, causing employers to have to pony up or employ the “out of towners” who view that ten dollars an hour as a goldmine compared to the hourly wage “back home”..

The “melting pot/salad bowl”..just another brick in the leftists wall. We managed to knock the Berlin Wall down, the left is working on reassembling it here..

    Thanks as always,

  14. Family,

The “Thought Of The Day” site is going to amp up..

I am beginning my own “transparency” program which will shed the light upon the words of every member of the Obama caliphate.

Click over and subscribe, it’s going to be fun..

  15. on C-span, the house is discussing primate containment today. Is this appropriate or what?

Isn’t there some saying about putting a bunch of monkeys in a room with typewriters and they will eventually write …. Shakespeare? the stimulus?

Glad to see the qualifications to be president issue isn’t going by the wayside.

    And the Rangel Rule! Priceless.

  16. Stephen Snyder said”…Each of us has to decide the right balance between being effective and being honest”….apparently the libs have decided to forgo the “honest” part. They create crisis after crisis, to gain more control…and sadly they are followed (believed) by the millions of lemmings in this country who cannot, for some reason, think for themselves! I thank God for NLTZ and all those who are willing to think for themselves and aren’t afraid to SAY SO! It’s obvious they’re going to try and shut us up, after all The One has stated he is not “for” the Fairness Doctrine….which means he really is.

Keep up the good work, Larry….I very much look forward to your “Thought Of The Day” transparency program!

  17. Margaret in CT

Great one, Larry. Here’s another nugget from Milton Friedman: “If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara desert, in five years, there’d be a shortage of sand.” And another: “Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.”

Much less trenchantly, I’ll add that he/she who does not believe in the supreme being inevitably begins to believe that he/she is in control the universe. Libs believe in God only when it serves their purposes, i.e., Clinton marching down the steps of the local Baptist Church, Bible in hand, after l’affair Lewinsky. Our well-being is not endangered nearly as much by the downturn in the economy as it is by the Marxists’ attempt to manipulate the economy, environment, social structure, and whatever else they can think of by confiscating our earnings and squandering them so that they can reign supreme. In their simplistic view, if we have “god” in the White House, why do we need a creator of the universe?

While busloads of people are being driven around Southern California to look at the bargains to be had in the housing market, a major hotel chain is giving travelers a night free for every two paid for, and much of TV advertising is geared toward persuading the consumer to return to the marketplace by touting price reductions, the Marxists are doing all they can to quash any budding of the free market. Like a jackbooted monster, they traipse through the tulip bed, killing the budding blooms and attempting to replace them with plastic representations of the real thing.

They have more on their hands than they can handle! The free market cannot be successfully exterminated except by military suppression on the part of the government, with the assistance of a current-day version of the Red Guard. I truly believe that our military, already wary of goings on in Washington, DC, would turn against the government long before they would turn against “We, the people.” The free market tidal wave is building, in my estimation, and it just may reach shore as early as 2010.

  18. These stupid pinheads who are outraged over a cartoon of cops killing a chimp in the subway or street. Here is how I view the cartoon that appeared in the NY Post last Thursday. Is he implying that according to Darwin, we all came from the simians unless it’s only blacks who hale from the apes?

First, if I were a chimp I would be offended that I was compared to liberal pinheads like Barack Obama or Al Sharpton because it would be deemed disparaging to my ancestors. But I see the cartoon for what it is a piece of cartoon garbage. I also see it as a commentary over the chimpanzee that ripped that woman’s hands and face. It seemed like a two birds killed by one stone. They hated the Stimulus Bill and what the owner of the chimpanzee did by keeping a wild animal in her home. I just remember this outrage that came from a former pimp/drug dealer/religious figure head to a church that does exist. So I’m not entirely sure if he is a real Reverend, Minister and/or Preacher and the man who came forward to gain national publicity to blame 7 innocent men from a lying sack of dog dong known as Tawana Brawley.

So, for the man who’s on videotape selling cocaine (I believe it was an 8 ball) to an uncover cop in 2004 when he made the choice to throw his hat into the Presidential Democratic nominee. Needless to say he was forced to drop out before the first Primary. The CBS station in New York (WCBS) ran a political piece regarding the man of many contradictions who was force to withdraw because of this little video where he was selling cocaine to first an 18 yr old black boy, and then the cocaine to the female black uncover police women. And, he tells us repeatedly about the racial stereotypes that perpetrated by our white racist society. He purposely went into a black neighborhood in Queens and did that to his own people, his own race. So the moral to this Sharpton fairy tale is this… It’s wrong to have white exploit the blacks but I guess it okay for blacks to exploit other blacks. There is certainly a great deal of black on black crimes.

Okay there are some cartoons that went after Bush and if I remember Sharpton was not up set over them, and many were very offensive. But, he claimed it wasn’t malicious and we should take it for what it was and just drop it. All this PC crap needs to go. But the message is clear, you make fun of Obama you’re a racist but every white person is up for grabs. In a fair society his doofus would be behind bars for the crimes he has gotten around for decades by exploiting the same people he claims to care about.

I found this online and thought it was funny. http://www.obamaandchimps.com/

And for those of you who haven’t seen the cartoon I’ll attach that too. http://weeklyworldnews.com/opinion/ed-anger/6399/ed-anger-says-enough-cartoon-monkey-business/

Did we all come from Apes? One thing is sure, I’d vote for the ape/chimpanzee over a liberal pinhead like Al Sharpton and if that makes me a racist, then I’ll wear that badge proudly and with honor. The things he has said about the white race manipulating and exploiting the blacks, yet he is one of the worst exploiters of the blacks, opps, I meant to say African-Americans and their communities within the 5 boroughs of New York City and the outlining areas. He’s a despicable human being and if he’s really a church leader, then it must be the Church of Satan.

For him everything any white does or says is racial. He started getting attention when in the mid-1980’s during the Bernard Goetz trial and he was pissed off that he got off with a basic slap on the wrist which Al Sharpton exploited the crime when he led several marches protesting what he saw as the weak prosecution of the case. The investigation into the shooting and eyewitness testimony said Goetz was reacting to these violent hoods that repeatedly harassed those on the subway, it was deemed a shooting and was due to an attempted robbery and not race related. So my guess is I guess according to the Sharpton fair rules, Bernard Goetz and the other passengers should have given them their wallets and rings, jewelry over to them and then say “Thank you for not killing me. That’s the first time I saw Sharpton espouse his ideology of fairness in racism. Every well known controversy in NYC from the Bernard Goetz, Howard Beach, Tawana Brawley, the Bensonhurst and Crown Heights riots he’s right out front screaming his bile fairness crap, but he goes where he’s needed to exploit the African American communities nationwide. He’s ventured to West Palm Beach Florida and I think California as well. And, I knew we could count on him during this election to spit his hate for all whites. I think he’s white man trapped in body, (and one that’s overweight) of a black man. He’s just screaming to get out. If there’s a poor put upon black to be exploited by this man, he’ll hop a plane to gain national headlines in his effort to promote ME, ME, ME!

One of the many things I’m grateful for is that I don’t have to listen to his tripe, daily news conferences everyday during dinner. I had such difficulty keeping it down. Well, this Irish-American is fed up with these jerks. If he and Jackson have degrees, we know what the BS stands for (and it ain’t Bachelor in Science) and I doubt their intelligence. Let’s face it; these two guys will never be Rhode Scholars or Mensa candidates.

  19. Another great article Larry. As always, thank you for your insight.
If anyone is interested in learning more about the “Great Depression” I suggest a wonderful book by Amity Shlaes entitled The Forgotten Man. It debunks so many myths about that period of time and the sainted FDR.

  20. So what happens if they put up the fairness doctrine for vote? We overload the members of congress with cards and letters? I have many friends that went bonkers on their congress reps. that still voted for the stimulus.

Do they listen to us once in office, I would venture on a WHOLE no they do not… Or are we just that nasty deed they need to every 2 to 6 years to put on the tea party face? Look at what we have created and accepted from our public servants. We being “We the People”.

Good news Larry is you will be in business for a long time, the fallout from this term and current events can keep you busy for the next decade. Keep up the good work and writing (would say reporting, but when you are the research, of propaganda, socialism, and redistribution, it is not really reporting is it)?

Anyways here is a good questions… 5 members in the history Congress have been expelled via 2/3 vote. What political party did they belong?

If we don’t embrace accountability and responsibility outside of punch lines in liberal spaghetti you can count America out of contention as “Top Dog” of the future.

#$#% green, go black. Black being profitable capitalism, not environmental hogwash.

  21. Oh you want to know why Jackson cried when Obama was elected and Sharpton is getting carried on this cartoon. Their bank accounts are shrinking fast, corporate America isn’t going to fund their consulting ventures. The blackmail will shrink in that regard from their ACLU / Lawsuit happy entities.

When I saw Jackson cry at the news of the deity’s election, I just laughed, I mean I haven’t seen anything more fake in my life.

Racism will always exist. Though they profit unjustly from it, the profits will shrink and on this subject the sooner the better, for they drive more racism than any conglomerate I am aware of.

My neighbor who is close to twice my senior is a union leader and “old school” dude. He drops the “N bomb” all the time. He swears up and down how he loves Obama. He gave me crap about my McCain sign and how could I ever vote for him… blah .. blah…

I love irony it only increases my political libido, especially as I mature and get more life experience.

  22. I don’t agree with the idea of throwing liberals into Boston harbour is a good idea. I wouldn’t want to pollute the harbour with their filth.

  23. How about if we throw the libs into Kīlauea and be done with them?

  24. What a fine idea Todd. At least there won’t be an environmental mess to clean up after 🙂

  25. Mike… I think the only reason Je$$e Jack$on cried is because he was jealous that Obama got to be Pres and he didn’t!!

  26. Mike… it was 15 Senators since 1797, and all but one of them were Democrats. The first one, in 1797, William Blount, of Tennessee, was a “Democratic – Republican”. All of the rest were in 1861 and ’62 for supporting the Confederate Rebeillion.

  27. blue state blues- RWG

Larry; once again you inspire much dialog. The Libs will never leave anything alone. Their very existence is about change at any cost. That’s why they like calling themselves “Progressives”.

I have asked my Liberal acquaintances (this being so only if I have no other choice) what it is that they are progressing towards? Up until Obama made the scene, they really couldn’t answer that questions. Now, of course, they have their mantra……………”we are progressing towards change”! OH hhhhhereally!

On the audacity of global warming (of course now it’s climate change since they couldn’t get the warming thing over on us) we need to get the wing-nuts to answer the basic question. If carbon is culprit, then please explain how 400 parts per million of carbon in our atmosphere is causing such chaos. Especially since every scientists will agree that the human contribution to the 400 PPM is about 6%. So how is that 24 parts of carbon per 1,000,000 parts of atmosphere is cause for driving us into the energy abyss that we are heading for.

  28. Larry,

Again you have expressed my thinking dead on right down the line. If only I had your talents! I know, I know what I said but you are just plain damn good, boy.

  29. Windrider,

You neednt say that, I’ve read your comments.

    You have talent to boot.

Just thinking that the market closed today at the level it was in 1997. So the multiple tens of thousands of dollars invested, money that was supposed to be a retirement income, is gone. With these liberal thieves, probably forever..

I’ve done everything “right”. I’ve paid off my house, I’ve invested in America…Where is my bailout?

I will be taxed to pay for the homes of those who should be in apartments or on the streets.

“Stimulus Czar” Biden is under orders to make sure that the first bailout goes to…Medicaid! Fifteen billion to those who are a detriment to society.

I may have to get a second job in order to pay my taxes.

Well, it’s off to work to pay someone elses mortgage, someone elses medical bills, someone elses groceries and someone elses gas bill..

If I make it home alive, I have more writing to do..

  30. Official Announcement:

The government today announced that it is changing its emblem from an Eagle to a CONDOM because it more accurately reflects the government’s political stance. A condom allows for inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of pricks, and gives you a sense of security while you’re actually being screwed!

Damn, it just doesn’t get more accurate than that

  31. remember back in the 80’s – 90’s, it was that damn hole in the ozone that was going to kill us all?
Whatever happened to all the BS?
Oh yeah, no one cared anymore, so they stopped printing it.
Same is true of “global warming”.
As long as it serves some political purpose, the demonrats will continue to puke it up.

    Another excellent article.
Point is, can anyone name a single time the Demonrats EVER said they were going to make everyone “richer”?
Demonrats always want to “spread the wealth”.
They don’t have a clue how to “create wealth”.
    (well, except for themselves).

    You’ve hit another home run!

I just received the following email & wanted to share it with you and the family. I don’t know who Dave (the author) is; but whoever he is, he must have been listening to me.

Subject: Fw: To All My Liberal Friends

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists,
    Marxists, Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950’s, but the whole of this latest
election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we
tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but
sadly, this relationship has run its course.

    Our two ideological sides of
America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right, so let’s just end
it on friendly terms. We can smile, slate it up to irreconcilable
differences, and go on our own ways.

Here is a model dissolution agreement:
Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by land mass, each taking a
portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides cancome to a friendly agreement. After that it should be relatively easy! Ourrespective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both
sides have such distinct and disparate tastes. We don’t like redistributivetaxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and theACLU.
Since you hate guns and war, we’ll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and
the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore, and Rosie O’Donnell (youare however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to movethem).
We’ll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies,
Wal-Mart, and Wall Street. You can have your homeboys, hippies, and illegal aliens. We’ll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedyCEO’s, and rednecks. We’ll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood .
You can make nice with Iran , Palestine , and France and we’ll retain theright to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have thepeaceniks and war protestors. When our allies or way of life are under
assault, we’ll provide them job security.
We’ll keep our Judeo-Christian Values.. You are welcome to Islam,Scientology, Humanism, and Shirley McClain. You can have the U.N. But we
will no longer be paying the bill. We’ll keep the SUV’s, pickup trucks, andoversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.
You can give everyone health care, if you can find any practicing doctors
(that is practicing, Howard Dean) who will follow to your turf. We’llcontinue to believe health care is a luxury and not a right.
We’ll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and The National Anthem. I’m sure
you’ll be happy to substitute Imagine, I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing,Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World.
We’ll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up poverty

  33. Larry,
As much to my dislike,I feel that the two party system has failed us. The Democrats and the
Republicans in my mind must be set aside, we
must seek people that will represent all americans, not just their party.
There must be someone, somewhere that still believes that honest, moral principles and conformaty to ideals that we have a higher obligation to our creator to bring back whats best for his people.
I feel civil disobenience will not be the answer,we have to decide what direction we must take and who we bring on this journey.

  34. Another example of liberal equality of outcome…

Thirty states do not handle the distribution of unemployment benefits – they have the funds desposited with the bank of their choice (Bank of America, Chase, Citi, whatever)

The banks issue debit cards to the unemployed, without information on how the procedure works — apparently they can only withdraw once on the card. According to WWNC 570AM,
one guy withdrew $ 40.00, and incurred a service charge of $ 16.00 — the banks are even generous enough to allow the debit accounts to be “overdrawn” and impose hefty charges, just waiting to soak up a nice chunk of the next benefit payment.

How can these banksta gangstas get away with this?

  35. Larry,

You have done everything right as a self responsible American is expected to do in carrying out and maintaining their lives. It is the government that has failed you in it’s policies. While it goes without saying, the liberal left is in non-compliance with your individual fiscal future, the Republican’s party weaking of conservative values have futher added to your outlook.

Do you think the sudden rebuff by Republican representatives in Congress over the stimulus plan is of compassion for their constituants or perhaps feeling the pressure applied on the NRA over their re-elections? I think it is the latter and what ever state I’m in, would not vote them back in.

Obama will eventually be revealed to be as a king without clothes.

  36. upstate conservative

Would someone comment as to what ever happened to Jesse Jackson jr. after it was revealed that he was a FEDERAL SNITCH? I was under the assumption that this was the lowest form of life in the hood. Any repercussions or backlash? Nothing on the news what so ever.

  37. Jessie Jackson Jr (hmm, JJJ, comes right before KKK !) proves that the “Lotteries” in this country are a racket for the liberals to scoop up sacks full of dough to line their pockets with.
Why else would JJJr be so upset about his wife not getting a job on the Lottery Commission??
    Isn’t that JUST a JOB??
Oh, but in THAT job, she can watch millions upon millions upon millions pass right under her nose.
Who knows how much is really collected.
    The overseers are theives themselves.
As long as everyone gets their CUT.

Its also a sham to claim that lotto money goes to the schools.
Lottery money goes into the General Revenue.
Anything they SAY they give to the schools out of that money is simply deducted from what they use to get.
    Net add: $0.00

They also control the picking of the numbers.
At a certain time at night, no more tickets are allowed to be sold for that night’s drawing.
That gives them plenty of time to figure out which numbers did NOT get picked.
    Those become the winning numbers.
Of course, no one picked those numbers!!
So the pot rolls over (and over and over in someone’s pockets!!!).

At least it appears that once in awhile someone does win – instead of just the politicians.

I would like to paraphrase Judge Roy Moore, the president of the Foundation for Moral Law in Montgomery, AL. He is the former Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court. He was removed from office in 2003 for refusing a court order to remove a Ten Commandments monument he had placed in the Alabama Judicial Building.

He questions whether the “Stimulus Bill” legislation is Constitutional. He states in an article in todays Cherokee County Post (www.postpaper.com), that “Article I, Section 8 of our Constitution authorizes Congress to tax and spend only “to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United States.”

“Because the Act in question only increases our indebtedness and does virtually nothing for our common defense, we must look at its impact or the “general” welfare. Congress’s expenditures must by definition be for the general welfare of our nation as a whole, not the specific welfare of individuals, regions, or certain socio-economic or political groups.”

He continues, “An examination of the provisions of the Economic Stimulus Plan reveals that it is pure pork, much of it designed to further left-wing causes. ”

Judge Moore then enumerates the various “earmarks” from Acorn to coupons for TV converter boxes.

“As anyone can plainly see, this is not legislation for the general welfare of our nation and cerrtainly not bi-partisan legislation but a Democrat attempt to target specific groups and individuals doing little to promote jobs.”

This was in the OP/ED section entitled “Obama won, America lost.”

My point in my 5:08 am comment:

Is there a possibility of a “class action suit” against Congress for passing an unconstitutional piece of legislation?

Would someone of legal expertise comment?

  40. doin eedtop aytaxes ,
in answer to your question, they sure think you do!

I believe the states’ rights movement to reverse the eroding of and prevent future eroding of bill of right amendments that was touched upon in a previous post is the answer to your query about a class action lawsuit against congress.

  41. Another piece of information:

10th AMEDMENT: GOP House Minority Leader John Boehner (Ohio) asked the Congressional Research Service to examine whether a provision in the stimulus bill to allow state legislators to override governors who decline funds is constitutional. The provision in question, section 1607, says: “If funds provided to any State in any division of this Act are not accepted for use by the Governor, then acceptance by the State legislature, by means of the adoption of a concurrent resolution, shall be sufficient to provide funding to such State.”

The CRS’s answer was muddled. Their researchers stated the provision “would not be subject to significant constitutional challenge” although, as the report says later, the provision “might be seen as raising a number of constitutional issues.” In the end, CRS said it’s “unlikely” any court would find that the act violated the state separation of powers doctrine. Republicans supporting the GOP governors declining the stimulus money say nothing in the CRS report was substantial enough to deter the governors from modifying their stance.

  42. Larry,

    Et al,

    What say ye?

    Yea or Nay?

“Pandora” Is Out Of The Box.

    This is only the beginning.

  43. Patient in Pa,
Could you tell me the title of this clip? For some reason the link just takes me to a blank page. I don’t know if the problem is with the link or in how my computer is reading it.

  44. Todd,

The link worked for me, I wish that there were a few more details.

He covered briefly the second amnendment but that was about it. It’s only a little over two and a half minutes, so I can’t expect too much in the way of details.

Everyone might want to check out the “Thought Of The Day” for today.. it is titled “Meet The New Joe”.

  45. Obama has said the reason FDR’s New Deal failed was that it did not provide enough money nor act quickly enough. Perhaps not, but I will have to give FDR credit in that his plan didn’t look like a farmer with pulling a trailer with his butcher ready pigs to hand out. Wasting tax dollars in earmarked pork funding rather than useful funds seems to be a source of confusion for lawmakers these days.

When FDR came into power in 1933, the unemployment rate in the U.S. had sreached a high of about 25%. Despite tripling federal spending on the much heralded New Deal, the best unemployment number achieved was 14% in 1937. By 1939, however, unemployment had increased to 19%.

With the invasion of illegal aliens, the Democrats refusal to include the extension of the E-Verify program in the stimulus plan to control them and American employers who would hire them, I see no reason why the unemployment rate should drop in America.

There is nothing in history that remotely suggests that there is no benefit from throwing a lot of money at an economy. I do see one clear negative, a racheting up in govermnetal debt. I am, of course talking about our debt because the government doesn’t make anything. It will be our debt, the debt of our children and their children.

I think Obama and all his “Czarists” know this and rather than stand aside and let the economy fix itself, they choose to push the worst of the economic woes past the next election. Obama has good (not great) political skills and an adoring glassy eyed following of mindless liberals that the approach would synch up very nicely with.
I believe that this approach has been made to attain Obama’s most pressing personal goal of not becoming a one term president.

I believe that just this sort of calculation has been made, and not for practical economic reasons, but for political ones. I support my belief in that a large part of the spending in the latest stimulus plan is scheduled for 2011, the year before the presidential election.
If FDR did not act quickly enough, what is keeping Obama?

  46. Todd,

Did you happen to notice who posted the clip and what the title was? If so, I could probably just go to YouTube and find it.

  48. Larry,

    That clip is entitled “RestoretheRepublic.com”

  49. If that was the clip by RestoretheRepublic.com, then weren’t they calling for the military to oppose our present government and help restore the Constitution? If so, I fully support that, in the event we are unable to do so within the framework of the legal and elective systems.

  50. Thanks for your insights and I couldn’t agree with you more.
“The “economic stimulus package”, based upon the same utopian collectivist governmental intrusion as the New Deal will have the same exasperating effect upon us and the economy.” It will fail.
& I believe the liberal leaders know this to be true, but it is all about control. Obama will do anything to increase his powers. Socialism is about everyone is “equally poor” except for the leaders who are all powerful.

  51. For anyone interested in volunteering to resist the obama junta

  52. I have a lot of lawyers in my family and the answer to your question is no. An individual or group cannot file a suite again the federal government, but a state can.

But, the government can be suing an individual, corporation, banks, a group or organization. But in 1998 Congress overwhelmingly approved legislation barring most class-action securities lawsuits from being filed in state courts. The Securities Litigation Uniform Standards Act where President Clinton’s signature amended it into law. The act came about over loopholes that Congress actually rewrote the federal securities laws in 1995 to make it harder to file such lawsuits — which high-tech executives labeled “frivolous” — in federal courts.

Needless to say the Clinton Congress made it more difficult to file a class action lawsuit and the public has no recourse other then demanding a recall election. It’s up to the plaintiff to show cause of action.

Historically, under the doctrine of “sovereign immunity,” you were not permitted to sue the king. Sovereign immunity has carried over to modern times in the form of a general rule that you cannot sue the government — unless the government says you can. Fortunately, the Federal Tort Claims Act (“FTCA”) allows certain kinds of lawsuits against federal employees who are acting within the scope of their employment.

Unfortunately, suing the federal government under the FTCA is trickier than suing a private citizen – you will have to jump through a number of hoops, and the lawsuits are subject to a lengthy and sometimes confusing list of limitations. So, if you were injured by a US Postal worker, you can sue the individual directly but if they were acting as a representative or in scope of their employment during the said action you can sue the US Postal Services. Say the postal worker was delivering the mail and hit your car and you were serious injured, the postal worker was working for the government in their course of duty, which will allow the injured party to sue the post office. But if he was on his way home from work and hits your car, he wasn’t on duty so you cannot sue the Postal Services only the individual. He wasn’t acting in the scope of employment.

Congress has also places caps on monetary rewards for individuals. Obviously, most people would prefer to sue the Post Office because the monetary reward or judgment would be higher for the injured party. Also Congress over the years has made it more difficult to sue a government agency and make you go though hoops to meet all the requirements for any judgments; most get thrown out of Court because it’s up to the plaintiff to show cause of action. They’ve also put caps on the monetary judgments.

Needless to say whether you’re suing a government agency or a huge corporation, it’s the citizen/costumer who pays the judgment. Like with Exxon lawsuit they only raised the costs to customer and we see it at the pump. Since that time during the Valdez incident I’ve never gotten gas from them since. One of my pet peeves is the company increasing their prices to cover lawsuits, I wish a judge would once say that the judgment is for the plaintiff and the monetary funds should go directly to the company and not the customer. They’re being punished not the citizens, so why should the citizens pay that cost?

There’s a great legal site my cousin told me about to find legal questions, http://www.findlaw.com/
    You should check it out.

  53. A bit wordy….but well worth the read.

Anne Wortham is Black, an Associate Professor of Sociology at Illinois State University and continuing Visiting Scholar at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution….
In fall 1988 she was one of a select group of intellectuals who were featured in Bill Moyer’s television series, “A World of Ideas.”
Dr. Wortham is author of The Other Side of Racism: A Philosophical Study of Black Race Consciousness which analyzes how race consciousness is transformed into political strategies and policy issues. She has published numerous articles on the implications of individual rights for civil rights policy, and is currently writing a book on theories of social and cultural marginality. Recently, she has published articles on the significance of multiculturalism and Afrocentricism in education, the politics of victimization and the social and political impact of political correctness. Shortly after an interview in 2004 she was awarded tenure.
This article by her is something else.

    By Anne Wortham

    Fellow Americans,
Please know: I am Black; I grew up in the segregated South. I did not vote for Barack Obama; I wrote in Ron Paul’s name as my choice for president. Most importantly, I am not race conscious. I do not require a black president to know that I am a person of worth, and that life is worth living. I do not require a black president to love the ideal of America.
I cannot join you in your celebration. I feel no elation. There is no smile on my face. I am not jumping for joy. There are no tears of triumph in my eyes. For such emotions and behavior to come from me, I would have to deny all that I know about the requirements of human flourishing and survival – all that I know about the history of the United States of America, all that I know about American race relations, and all that I know about Barack Obama as a politician. I would have to deny the nature of the “change” that Obama asserts has come to America. Most importantly, I would have to abnegate my certain understanding that you have chosen to sprint down the road to serfdom that we have been on for over a century. I would have to pretend that individual liberty has no value for the success of human life. I would have to evade your rejection of the slender reed of capitalism on which your success and mine depend. I would have to think it somehow rational that 94 percent of the 12 million blacks in this country voted for a man because he looks like them (that blacks are permitted to play the race card), and that they were joined by self-declared “progressive” whites who voted for him because he doesn’t look like them. I would have to wipe my mind clean of all that I know about the kind of people who have advised and taught Barack Obama and will fill posts in his administration-political intellectuals like my former colleagues at the Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.

I would have to believe that “fairness” is the equivalent of justice. I would have to believe that man who asks e to “go forward in a new spirit of service, in a new service of sacrifice” is speaking in my interest. I would have to accept the premise of a man that economic prosperity comes from the “bottom up”, and who arrogantly believes that he can will it into existence by the use of government force. I would have to admire a man who thinks the standard of living of the masses can be improved by destroying the most productive and the generators of wealth.

Finally, Americans, I would have to erase from my consciousness the scene of 125,000 screaming, crying, cheering people in Grant Park, Chicago irrationally chanting “Yes We Can!” Finally, I would have to wipe all memory of all the times I have heard politicians, pundits, journalists, editorialists, bloggers and intellectuals declare that capitalism is dead – and no one, including especially Alan Greenspan, objected to their assumption that the particular version of the anti-capitalistic mentality that they want to replace with their own version of anti-capitalism is anything remotely equivalent to capitalism.

So you have made history, Americans. You and your children have elected a black man to the office of president of the United States, the wounded giant of the world. The battle between John Wayne and Jane Fonda is over – and that Fonda won. Eugene McCarthy and George McGovern must be very happy men. Jimmie Carter, too. And the Kennedys have at last gotten their Kennedy look-a-like. The self-righteous welfare statists in the suburbs can feel warm moments of satisfaction for having elected a black person. So toast yourselves: 60s counter-culture radicals, 80s yuppies and 90s bourgeois bohemians. Toast yourselves, Black America. Shout your glee Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Duke, Stanford, and Berkeley. You have elected not an individual who is qualified to be president, but a black man who, like the pragmatist Franklin Roosevelt, promises to – Do something! You now have someone who has picked up the baton of Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society. But you have also foolishly traded your freedom and mine – what little there is left – for a chance to feel good. There is nothing in me that can share your happy obliviousness.

Now this a lady I would like to meet….she gives me hope.

  54. Is there no end to the comic genius of the left party. Supposedly standing for a “greener” world in the technology of windmills for electrical power, yet they fight amongst themselves over any birds that may fly into the propellors.

The story doesn’t end there, however, as there is a third faction of the looney-tune left that suffers the same medical malady as atheists.
The malady which, surprisngly has never had a multi-billion study performed since it seems to affect only liberals, has no name but amounts to a failure in being able to avert one’s eyes.

Much like atheists who find it impossible to look at anything other than the 10 Commandments, these people find their eyes fixated upon wind generators, and in some cases, they haven’t been built yet.

The third faction of save the worlders have been whining how “repulsive” the windmills appear against the landscape. T. Boone Pickens, a retired Texas oilman who invested and is directing a plan for wind generators through the Midwest from Texas to North Dakota, has run into opposition from the “limegreen” librals in Kansas and South Dakota.

  56. There is a movement scheduled around the Country to protest Barack Obama’s policies of irresponsible spending the American taxpayer’s money for worthless programs that waste money and help no one. This grassroots movement will take place this Friday throughout the Country. You can learn more about it by going to the Freedom Works website http://www.freedomworks.org/ I think that this is something many of us has wanted for a long time. 57. An interesting article in the Jerusalem Post.

No doubt a harbinger of things to come.

    Where’s Obama’s foreign policy spine?

    Feb. 24, 2009
The Biden prophecy has come to pass. Our wacky veep, momentarily inspired, had predicted last October that “it will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama.” Biden probably had in mind an eve-of-the-apocalypse drama like the Cuban Missile Crisis. Instead, Obama’s challenges have come in smaller bites. Some are deliberate threats to US interests, others mere probes to ascertain whether the new president has any spine.

Preliminary X-rays are not very encouraging.

Consider the long list of brazen Russian provocations:
    (a) Pressuring Kyrgyzstan to shut down the US air base in Manas, an absolutely crucial NATO conduit into Afghanistan.
    (b) Announcing the formation of a “rapid reaction force” with six former Soviet republics, a regional Russian-led strike force meant to reassert Russian hegemony in the Muslim belt north of Afghanistan.
    (c) Planning to establish a Black Sea naval base in Georgia’s breakaway province of Abkhazia, conquered by Moscow last summer.
    (d) Declaring Russia’s intention to deploy offensive Iskander missiles in Kaliningrad if Poland and the Czech Republic go ahead with plans to station an American (anti-Iranian) missile defense system.

President bush’s response to the Kaliningrad deployment – the threat was issued the day after Obama’s election – was firm. He refused to back down because giving in to Russian threats would leave Poles and Czechs exposed and show the world that, contrary to post-Cold War assumptions, the US could not be trusted to protect Eastern Europe from Russian bullying.

The Obama response? “Biden Signals US Is Open to Russia Missile Deal,” as The New York Times headlined Biden’s February 7 Munich speech to a major international gathering. This followed strong messages from the Obama transition team even before the inauguration that Obama was not committed to the missile shield. And just to make sure everyone understood that the Bush policy no longer held, Biden in Munich said the US wanted to “press the reset button” on NATO-Russian relations.

Not surprisingly, the Obama wobble elicited a favorable reaction from Russia. (There are conflicting reports that Russia might suspend the Kaliningrad blackmail deployment.) The Kremlin must have been equally impressed that the other provocations – Abkhazia, Kyrgyzstan, the rapid reaction force – elicited barely a peep from Washington.

IRAN HAS been similarly charmed by Obama’s overtures. A week after the new president went about sending sweet peace signals via al-Arabiya, Iran launched its first homemade Earth satellite. The message is clear. If you can put a satellite into orbit, you can hit any continent with a missile, North America included.

And for emphasis, after the roundhouse hook, came the poke in the eye.

A US women’s badminton team had been invited to Iran. Here was a chance for “Ping-Pong diplomacy” with the accommodating new president, a sporting venture meant to suggest the possibility of warmer relations.

On February 4, Teheran denied the team entry into Iran.

Then, just in case Obama failed to get the message, Iran’s parliament speaker rose in Munich to offer his response to Obama’s olive branch.

Executive summary: Thank you very much. After you acknowledge 60 years of crimes against us, change not just your tone but your policies and abandon the Zionist criminal entity, we might deign to talk to you.

WITH A grinning Goliath staggering about sporting a “kick me” sign on his back, even reputed allies joined the fun. Pakistan freed from house arrest A.Q. Khan, the notorious proliferator who sold nuclear technology to North Korea, Libya and Iran. Ten days later, Islamabad capitulated to the Taliban, turning over to its tender mercies the Swat Valley, 100 miles from the capital. Not only will Shari’a law now reign there, but the democratically elected secular party will be hunted down as the Pakistani army stands down.

These Pakistani capitulations may account for Obama’s hastily announced 17,000 troop increase in Afghanistan even before his various heralded reviews of the mission have been completed. Hasty, unexplained, but at least something. Other than that, a month of pummeling has been met with utter passivity.

I would like to think the supine posture is attributable to a rookie leader otherwise preoccupied (i.e. domestically), leading a foreign policy team as yet unorganized if not disoriented. But when the State Department says that Hugo Chavez’s president-for-life referendum, which was preceded by a sham government-controlled campaign featuring the tear-gassing of the opposition, was “for the most part… a process that was fully consistent with democratic process,” you have to wonder if Month One is not a harbinger of things to come.

  58. Todd,

It is “RestoretheRepublic.com” that is calling for the military to resist the government. But only, as you say and I’m inclined to agree, should the government stray from the covenence of our Constitution.
RestoretheRepublic calls only upon our defender’s honesty of their oath in obeying the words of wisdom written by our founders and their ability to make the right decision in maintaining a free America.

  59. upstate conservative,

Jesse Jr. was on tv last night hugging and kissing Hillary and sharing hugs with Nobama — funny that Hillary kissed Nobama, but he did not reciprocate.

The Dow resumes its descent today.

  60. The Senate voted today on the confirmation of Rep. Hilda Solis (D-Calif.) as Labor secretary. The vote was 80 Yea 17 Nay see below the usual suspects from the RINO’s in the Senate. 24 Republicans jumped ship once again. There were some I found shocking. I cannot understand why Senator Hutchinson voted for her.

I thank God everyday that Alabama has true conservatives representing our interests in Congress. Thank you Senator’s Shelby and Sessions.

  61. Eileen,
Voinovich needs to spend more time with Shelby and Sessions. Maybe then he would understand what it means to be a conservative and actually represent the interests of us buckeyes.

  62. Taxpayer’s “revolts” had better turn into all out wars against this insane government.

Last night I heard of the “Continuing Resolution” to fund existing federal programs at $410 billion. An increase of 8.7% on domestic spending since the Carter years. It is being debated in Congresss this week and next.

Also Obama and Pelose have proposed another $275 billion Housing Bailout which will be debated within days.

Another Bank Bailout is on the agenda and estimated at $1TRILLION although the numbers are a little fuzzy but it is due to be debated on within weeks.

National Health Care will be announced this Thursday. Billions of your money, less individual health care choice for you.

Obama, Pelosi and Reid’s first big taxincrease wil be on energy over the next decade at $1.2 trillion. Does this somehow make it easier for the common person to buy gasoline and heating?

They are taking a cup of water out of the bucket and trying to console the public by putting a half cup back in. Socialists!!!

  63. The one thing is for certain, this stupidity is contagious.

  64. Windrider,
I think you got it wrong; they are taking our bucket of water and returning only half a cup to us while they keep the rest of the bucket.
At the rate this administration is pushing the people of this country, I wouldn’t be surprised if an armed revolt takes place.

  65. Eileen: I goofed again on a web site address on those I listed about the 12 US 95b statute. The first listing should be http://www.barefootsworld.net/srwep.html. (I left off the last “l” at the very end.) It’s the most important web site of all about the 12 US 95b statute!

  66. I just thought of a way middle-class America CAN revolt and make an impact.

Most home loans are NOT defaulting.
The “high-risk” loans are. You know, mostly the ones where people shouldn’t have been in that house in the first place.

I say all the rest of us (who are going to be footing the bill for that damn “stimulus”) simply STOP MAKING OUR HOUSE PAYMENTS.

If they think the current situation is a “mortgage crisis”, they ain’t seen nothing yet!!
Wait till the 90% of us, who ARE making our house payments, decide to STOP!

    July 4, 2009: Independence Day!

Can we get all middle-class, non-koolaid drinkers (that should be about 70% of that 90%) to STOP making their house payments this Fourth of July??????????????????????

Let this be our “Boston Tea Party”.

  67. As Winston Churchhill said, “Trying to tax oneself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself by the handle.”
Free enterprise, the arch enemy of socialism cannot exist this way. We have steadily been growing towards it through the legislation from BOTH partys. Although the Democratic party implements unnecessary and high taxes against our business’ and cooporations, the Republican party does little to rescind any of these actions.

The liberals promise taxcuts to the working man but raise taxes on business’ and products. Gee, maybe it’s my old fashioned way of thinking here, but I’m pretty sure that the producers are going to raise prices to cover their ass, hence taking the “taxcuts” right out of the working man’s pocket. I can’t believe there are that many people out there that can’t see this economics for idiots 101. Or maybe I’m just grouchy.

We were, on the founding of this country, promised “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.” Our government by now has encroached on all three of those promises. By abortion of the innocent, innumerable cumbersome laws on the citizens and high taxes on the fruits of our labors.

  69. In 2010 the budget for Obama and socialistiic crew will be to give over $600 billion to HUD and community improvement. I can guarantee anyone that in a year from now I will be able to tour the same neighborhoods (during the day) and not notice a bit of difference in the vacant buildings or trashy lots and streets.
