Perilous Progressive Patterns

After the Chrysler blitzkrieg, the next target in the path of the omnipotent Obama oligarchy is General Motors. Ford in their infinite wisdom, has resisted the impulse to sign on to the totalitarian takeovers. They appear to be the last capitalist free market automotive manufacturing holdout but the Obama “Auto Task FORCE”, (as in “force” everyone to comply..) enabled by its use of OUR tax dollars and the imaginary inflationary ones of the “Monopoly money Marxists”, will try their best to strangle these miscreants..

Two articles, “UAW, General Motors Reach Deal on Contract Concessions” and “White House Reportedly Prepares GM for Takeover” and the information therein, bring to mind a perilous progressive pattern.. or three..

Please keep in mind that the following two statements ALWAYS appear in some way, shape or form when “reporting” about the Obama caliphate: “…gave no details” and “a governmental source who spoke on the condition of anonymity..” The Obama administration has literally patented the “idea” of asking (demanding) everyone to blindly pass or endorse their liberal legislation without any exposure to or any mandatory revealing of, the “details”.. Everything from the “American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009” (The vast majority of Americans had absolutely no “details” about this multiple trillion dollar disaster including its actual name..) to the “deal” with the UAW and General Motors. (“The union announced the deal in a short statement issues Thursday that gave no details..” “UAW, General Motors Reach Deal on Contract Concessions” Foxnews)

Next we have the Obama “speaking under the condition of anonymity..” Never have I heard this disclaimer used with such frequency. Even the completely liberally biased Wikipedia, on the topic of “news leaks”, mentions only two heinous examples, Watergate and the idiotic and imaginary Valerie Plame “leak”.. Here the Teflon totalitarian wishes to see if the public would have the audacity to “disagree” with any of his progressive pronouncements.. If that appears to be the case, just shove the “leaker” under the moronic media bus while blaming the whole mess on some anonymous “rogue disgruntled former employee..” (Example: The Obama “drive by shooting” of Air Force One in lower Manhattan costing the taxpayers $328,000 also cost “White House aide” Louis “Who??” Caldera his job. Obama had no idea..)

So, this “anonymous source” said that there is “no chance” that the goofy “Car Czars” will “prepare” to take GM into bankruptcy next week. “The process is too massive for so quick a move and could require preparations..” Here we have the governmental “investment” rate of 45 billion dollars at this point in time and suddenly there is a need for introspection.. Just a short time ago, nearly ten times that amount of money later, trillions upon trillions of dollars (real and imaginary) for a “Socialist Stimulus Package” and the need for speed was all the rage while “introspection” was cast as “acrimonious” by those with so much to hide..

Part of this GM “plan” involves the Treasury getting 35.4% of GMAC, which is the lending arm of General Motors. GMAC is also taking over all auto and lending for Chrysler.. So when someone buys a Chrysler or GM car and they secure their loan through GMAC, at least 35.4% of the profit from that loan will now go to the federal government as opposed to a formerly free market corporation which would be reinvested in the corporation. The left’s obsession with exorbitant taxation is not enough, now they will indefinitely profit from every element of every Chrysler and GM transaction.

Is there a “timetable” for the government’s withdrawal from this socialist enterprise? If or when these “loans” are paid back with a fair market amount of interest, will the liberal government “give back” the idea of automotive manufacturing, sales and financing to the companies themselves? Will the free market EVER be allowed to return to this area of commerce? Will the federal government (45.5 billion GM, 8 billion Chrysler) and the UAW (55% “owner” of Chrysler, 39% “owner” of GM) ever produce an “exit plan” after they “save” these auto giants that are “too big to fail”?

GM’s current “shareholders”, average Joe’s like you and me who looked to such “blue chip” organizations as the foundations of the portfolios that were supposed to be part of our retirements, will be “allowed” 1% of GM, or less than 1 billion dollars. With Chrysler, the “shareholders” were FORCED to relinquish at a rate of pennies on the dollar.. This is just another step towards a total liberal governmental takeover and their targeted destruction of the middle class. Those who used to “invest” towards their retirement will now need to turn to the government for their subsistence..

GM “plans” to close sixteen more factories, which we are told will cost 21,000 “hourly workers” their jobs. As of this moment in time, GM has 60,000 “hourly workers” but “plans” to make that number 40,000 by 2010. This paltry figure must be of concern to Mr. “Create a million jobs” Obama. That sum puts him well behind the pace to surpass the impressive total of 539,000 jobs that he LOST last month alone..

The only reasoning given for this (remember: “..gave no details.”) is that GM is trying “to cut labor costs and shrink its manufacturing footprint to match demand for its product..” That is a recipe for failure, it is a template for a domestic disaster which is precisely what the all of the “Czars” of the Obama oligarchy must have in mind.

If “demand for its product” is actually an overriding concern for what is left of GM, I certainly hope that the “experts” of the Obama administration aren’t allowed into the research and development areas of the company, like the liberal “green” virus that has infected Chrysler.

If the Chrysler/GM takeovers aren’t actually “designed to fail”, two things must take place in order to ensure their “success” IF Obama continues to insist upon the production of dangerous and unfeasible vehicles.. Protectionism on two fronts. Internationally, by taxing imported products and domestically, through the mandatory purchase of their vehicles by Americans.

The liberals will have to resort to protectionism in order to cushion and insulate their constituents within the UAW who have invested so little yet have so much to lose. It’s not enough that they will miraculously “own” 55% of Chrysler and 39% of GM, in order to ensure their survival, “competition” must be eliminated. “Buy American” used to be a suggestion..

Your guide for this perilous progressive pattern would be the liberal coddling of the NEA and the prearranged planning and design relative to the intentional implosion of the public school system. “Choice” with both the public schools and now the automotive industry must be eradicated. “Choice” from the carcinogenic perspective of the liberals must only involve the “choice” between saline injections or ice tongs..

No one should be surprised by any of this, it is all part of the “transparency” of the perilous progressive patterns..

UAW folks have the IQ of a ant: go to work, work all day, eat, sleep, go to work, repeat.
Sultan Obama’s other supporters, left-wing liberals, tend to be more educated.
So, who can the Annointed Ass get away with lying to? His dimwitted UAW voters, or his college-degreed, soily pantsed, liberals?
Campaigner Obama visited Detroit and PROMISED to protect their jobs.
Campainer Obama visited San Francisco and PROMISED the liberals to shut down smoke stack industries.
He can always LIE to the UAW folks that they all lost their jobs because of George Bush, but what lie can he tell the liberals to explain why smoke-stack-filled Detroit still exists?
Its kinda funny watching one group of Obamanazis getting screwed by another group of Obamanazis.
Although, I never thought a UAW guy would take it in the ass from a California liberal….and SMILE about it!

  2. I have to say that I see this as only the latest step in the plan to totally subjugate the American people. How much longer will it be before we are forced to sell our firearms “back” to the government just to buy a loaf of bread?

  3. Not to be picky, but when you say “at this point” then it is not necessary to add “in time”

It will be interesting to see just how the liberal special interest line up in their order of priority.

They are already up in arms over the “flip flops” relative to the War and Guantanamo..

They all demand that their voices be “heard”..

    Thanks as always,

Do not be surprized if this “recycling” that you speak of is used for the materials necessary for the statues of Obama and Biden in Red Square. (The former White House grounds..)

    Thanks as always,

  6. Larry,

While considering “anonymity” let us also include the Congress. Take for instance the stimulus bill in which it is claimed none of the Representatives had time to fully read. This would constitute an anonmity of knowledge on their part. They have exhibited this same trait, albeit natural to liberals, not only in the porkulus bill but also in any reasonable thinking.

Obama’s takeover of GM includes giving stakes to the new company, it’s unions and bond holders. Obama is planning on forgiving the $15.4 billion dollars in loans that WE TAXPAYERS have already given to GM, and extending further credit to them! I want my original money back, dammit, let these car companies fail, the world will not come to an end!

Obama is so narcisstically wrapped up in himself as being “The One”, as being supreme, as believing that he is and will provide the “cure”, we should fear the death of our nation by the hands of our “leadership” in Washington than those of socialism.

  7. Obama’s plan is, and always has been, the destruction of America. Some people think they want him to succeed. In another six month he should have this country pretty much in total chaos.

  8. Larry,
In order for those statues to be large enough to satisfy the Jug-eared One’s ego, I think he would need to recycle every tank , plane, and ship used by our military. He will probably give our firearms to his “civilian security force.”

  9. Opening sentence in Headling

In a sobering holiday interview with C-SPAN, President Obama boldly told Americans: “We are out of money”. Talk about a confidence builder. What the *#(#$*.? Will someone please pinch America & wake her up from this bad dream. What comes after pathetic?

  10. What in God’s name is wrong here… there absolutely no sane person in Washington D.C? Is there no one brave enough to do more than talk and write? The only person I’ve been heaing that has the guts to stand up and tell it like it was, is and will be is DICK CHENEY. You know, the guy no one much liked. There will be more than one head rolling before he’s through.

  11. Just one more thought…..Obama’s transparency simply means people are going to see right through him! He has no substance whatsoever! Surely there are smarter Americans than those who continue to praise and worship this guy!

  13. This is off topic and I apologies for posting what I want you all to read and tell me if you’ve heard about this at all. Here goes:

I’ve been working on a number of bumper stickers and t-shirt designs, which is why I’ve been absence for a few weeks. I’m doing a great deal of research on the internet so that the claims made on the sticker or t will be as accurate as possible. Right now I’m working on the bailouts for the mortgage leaders/banks. I’ve come across information that disturbs me. These businesses, banks and mortgage leaders are intertwined. I’ll give you an example.
GE owns a number of mortgage companies as a subsidy and they are getting $49,655,812,000 for the mortgage company WMC Mortgage Corp they own. Since there seems to be no oversight, accountability and/or transparency by the nearsighted Joe Biden who’s even more clueless then Cher Horowitz, played by Alicia Silverstone in the film with the same title. I think he has trouble finding the bathroom, and this is the jerk Obama placed in charge of the oversight on where these funds went. There is nothing that shows the money is being used by the mortgage lender. GE could be taking that money and kind of laundering through numerous channels they have at their disposal. No one knows where the money is, so we don’t know how it’s being used. They could be paying people off or pocketing it for themselves and these idiot politicians have got to know all of this and appear not to care. Which is even more frightening because most of these CEO/CFO/Chairman are all democrats? It’s not just General Electric there are carmakers that also control some banks, mortgage lenders, insurance companies.
Wall Street’s Bears and Stearns, Lehmann Brothers, JP Morgan Chase, Capital One, Merrill Lynch, H&R Block and Citigroup. They also hold part interest in other business such as carmakers or insurance business hidden within these Corporations. So, this means GM will be helped by their cars along with the subsidies within their organization that also own part interest in AIG, GMAC with car and home loans as well as real estate, their own insurance company which is in addition to their financial stake in AIG.
A bankruptcy judge says GMAC can become Chrysler’s preferred lender. Pending the completion of certain documentation, U.S. Federal Judge Arthur Gonzales on Tuesday (5/12) approved the deal between Auburn Hills, Mich.-based Chrysler LLC and GMAC Financial Services.

Under the agreement, GMAC will be allowed to provide showroom financing to Chrysler dealers and have the right to exclusively offer certain discounted financing rates to Chrysler customers.
GMAC currently provides financing for General Motors Corp. dealers and customers in addition to home mortgage loans.

Chrysler Financial, a separate company from Chrysler LLC, previously was the automaker’s preferred lender. But the financing company said two weeks ago that it would no longer be able to make new loans to Chrysler dealers. So, if I am able to understand all of this correctly means that the 55% of the UAW now owns controlling interest in all of the businesses? This is no different then what Madoff did to his investor. They’ve legalize laundering money, put it through these channel, let it get lost and pop it’s nice and clean for them to spend elsewhere.

GE also has a stake in NBC/CNBC/MSNBC and campaigned for Obama instead of reporting on the campaign and his candidacy. The word is out that should all the bills that Obama wants to have passed through from these entities GE owns. The corruption goes so deep and it makes me sick to my stomach. I’ve never wished anyone dead but I would be okay with these guys getting hit by a bolt of lightening. I wouldn’t cry at their departure.

Isn’t it rather strange that Congress appears “anonymous” in all of this and Vice President Chaney appears to be the only Republican who hasn’t lost his voice?

Someone in DC needed to lead the charge.

    Where are the “conservatives”?

Are they just being ignored by the MSM or are they afraid to speak with authority on any of these topics?

I feel that this is an open door for anyone who would really want to take the conservative lead.

The personal Obama poll numbers are irrelevant. The “sold-a-bill-of-goods” voters from ’08 need to be braced.

Never give in, never give up and never again.

There is no doubt that many “favors” have been repaid at our expense, thus the “need for speed” when trillions of dollars in payouts are at stake.

Like all socialist enterprises, its not class seperation that concerns the socialists, it is the elimination of the middle class.

The “rich” are still the politicians and the liberal elitists. They would just prefer that the “poor” encompass 97% of the rest of the population.

“Transparent” as a pane of glass..

The Ford holdout has been raising quite a few questions in my suspicious mind. I have a feeling that more is going on with Ford and other car companies than we know. I knew that Ford had a very shady past regarding the Nazis. Apparently, General Motors and Chrysler do also. In my research on Big Pharma I found the following:

“ In 1928 Henry Ford merged his German assets with those of the I.G. Farben chemical cartel. A substantial holding, 40 percent of Ford Motor A.G. of Germany, was transferred to I.G. Farben; Carl Bosch of I.G. Farben became head of Ford A.G. Motor in Germany. Simultaneously, in the United States Edsel Ford joined the board of American I.G. Farben. (See Chapter Two.)”

“In brief, there is documentary evidence that Ford Motor Company worked on both sides of World War II. If the Nazi industrialists brought to trial at Nuremburg were guilty of crimes against mankind, then so must be their fellow collaborators in the Ford family, Henry and Edsel Ford. However, the Ford story was concealed by Washington — apparently like almost everything else that could touch upon the name and sustenance of the Wall Street financial elite.”

    Then I found this:

“The following is excerpted from a report printed by the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary in 1974:
The activities of General Motors, Ford and Chrysler prior to and during World War II…are instructive. At that time, these three firms dominated motor vehicle production in both the United States and Germany. Due to its mass production capabilities, automobile manufacturing is one of the most crucial industries with respect to national defense. As a result, these firms retained the economic and political power to affect the shape of governmental relations both within and between these nations in a manner which maximized corporate global profits. In short, they were private governments unaccountable to the citizens of any country yet possessing tremendous influence over the course of war and peace in the world. The substantial contribution of these firms to the American war effort in terms of tanks, aircraft components, and other military equipment is widely acknowledged. Less well known are the simultaneous contributions of their foreign subsidiaries to the Axis Powers. In sum, they maximized profits by supplying both sides with the materiel needed to conduct the war.

During the 1920’s and 1930’s, the Big Three automakers undertook an extensive program of multinational expansion…By the mid-1930’s, these three American companies owned automotive subsidiaries throughout Europe and the Far East; many of their largest facilities were located in the politically sensitive nations of Germany, Poland, Rumania, Austria, Hungary, Latvia, and Japan…Due to their concentrated economic power over motor vehicle production in both Allied and Axis territories, the Big Three inevitably became major factors in the preparations and progress of the war. In Germany, for example, General Motors and Ford became an integral part of the Nazi war efforts. GM’s plants in Germany built thousands of bomber and jet fighter propulsion systems for the Luftwaffe at the same time that its American plants produced aircraft engines for the U.S. Army Air Corps….

Ford was also active in Nazi Germany’s prewar preparations. In 1938, for instance, it opened a truck assembly plant in Berlin whose “real purpose,” according to U.S. Army Intelligence, was producing “troop transport-type” vehicles for the Wehrmacht. That year Ford’s chief executive received the Nazi German Eagle (first class)….
The outbreak of war in September 1939 resulted inevitably in the full conversion by GM and Ford of their Axis plants to the production of military aircraft and trucks….On the ground, GM and Ford subsidiaries built nearly 90 percent of the armored “mule” 3- ton half-trucks and more than 70 percent of the Reich’s medium and heavy-duty trucks. These vehicles, according to American intelligence reports, served as “the backbone of the German Army transportation system.”….

After the cessation of hostilities, GM and Ford demanded reparations from the U.S. Government for wartime damages sustained by their Axis facilities as a result of Allied bombing…Ford received a little less than $1 million, primarily as a result of damages sustained by its military truck complex at Cologne…

Due to their multinational dominance of motor vehicle production, GM and Ford became principal suppliers for the forces of fascism as well as for the forces of democracy. It may, of course, be argued that participating in both sides of an international conflict, like the common corporate practice of investing in both political parties before an election, is an appropriate corporate activity. Had the Nazis won, General Motors and Ford would have appeared impeccably Nazi; as Hitler lost, these companies were able to reemerge impeccably American. In either case, the viability of these corporations and the interests of their respective stockholders would have been preserved.

Extracted from Bradford C. Snell, American Ground Transport: A Proposal for Restructuring the Automobile, Truck, Bus and Rail Industries. Report presented to the Committee of the Judiciary, Subcommittee on Antitrust and Monopoly, United States Senate, February 26, 1974, United States Government Printing Office, Washington, 1974, pp. 16-24.
Paul Plaganis Legislative Representative T.C.U. District #861 Albany, NY”

Sure makes me wonder if Ford didn’t make a deal with the neo-fascists in Washington. Or maybe they all did and the whole thing is a smoke screen.

  20. LadyWolf, they do the same thing as the International Bankers do. They give aid and support to both sides, so that they come out the REAL WINNERS, no matter who wins the wars.

C’est la vie–0r c’est la guerre, as the case may be!

  21. Louise, you made me think who has the courage to stand up to Obama and “tell him off.” You suggested Cheney. May I also suggest Ron Paul?

But would either men have the guts to tell Obama face to face in a debate or any other meeting–public or private– this:

“You, sir, are an apogenous, bovaristic, coprolalial, dasypygal, excerebrose, facinorous, gnathomic, hirchine, ithyphallic, jumentous, kyphotic, labrose, mephiteic, napiform, oligophrenial, papuliferous, quisqilian, rebarbative, saponaceous, thersitical, unguinous, ventripotent, wlatsome, xylocephalous, yirning zoophyte!!

(Notice the first letter of each word, beginning with “apogenous.” This listing is called an “abecedarian” list, because the words are listed in alphabetecal order.)

Before anybody rushes towards their 1100-page-plus Oxford Dictionary to look up the meaning of these valid English words, here is the translation:

“You, sir, are an impotent, conceited, obscene, hairy-buttocked, brainless, wicked, toadying, goatish, indecent, stable-smelling, hunchbacked, thick-lipped, stinking, turnip-shaped, feebleminded, pimply, trashy, repellent, smarmy, foul-mouthed, greasy, gluttonous, loathsome, wooden-headed, whining, extremely low form of animal life!”

Hoped you enjoyed the funny stuff!

By the way, Obama is so stupid, that if he were the only child of home-schooling parents, that he would not even be the valedictorian of his one-person graduating class, even if he only made “E Minus” on every subject he was was “taught”!

  22. I apologize for the misspelling of the word “alphabetical” and the double-wording of “was.” I guess my eyes “glazed over” those words as I reviewed my typing!

    G’day Larry and family,

My opinion comes with the disclaimer that I’m a total cynic when it comes to politicians of any stripe. Conservative/Republican leadership will have to come from nonelected people for the time being. Obama’s continuing 60% approval rating has suppressed any courage that Conservative congressmen or -women might show. If Reid and Spector fail in their bids for re-election, you’ll see some congressional “leadership” start to take hold.

Aside from his genuine fury at what has happened to the country, I think Dick Cheney realizes that the elected party leadership is hamstrung by Obama’s inexplicable popularity, although they have made some progress on the national security front. He knows that we will never be taken seriously as long as the media are able to portray us as a party that is led by radio talk show hosts, and so he is stepping forward. God bless him and keep him healthy. We need him.

I’d like to see Rick Santorum and others like him who know the score with congressional Republicans become more vocal. Rush and Sean are great and very much needed to spread the word and do the work of the faithful, but the left is very good at turning such people into comedic characters in the eyes of the lazy voting public. We have to keep the banner of liberty raised and continue to get out the word that our country is undergoing a socialist takeover (a high percentage of U.S. citizens don’t seem to know this!).

At this point in time..(hi whosebone..) I would like to think that Ford has seen what COULD HAVE become had they allowed the government into their board room, production lines, etc. I will give them credit for seeing that this is WRONG.

There is a difference between a government LENDING money and a government TAKING OVER.

I “hope” that Ford decided to work their way out of their “problems” whatever they may be, without the help of the oligarchs. GO FORD!

    On that note to “optimisticmomma”:

    Relative to “Statistical Anomolies Become A Communist Conundrum”;

I still have NO IDEA why I made reference to Ford in that article. I will blame it being in too much of a hurry to submit, I didn’t proofread. The references to Ford in the final copy were omitted and they were replaced with the proper references to Chrysler. Errors corrected and thanks for pointing them out to me.

    Thanks as always,

These “approval ratings” have quite alot to do with the mantra that was drilled into the skulls of the susceptible a while back..

“..they are going to try to scare you..he’s got a funny sounding name..he doesn’t look like all of the other Presidents..”

Not only doesn’t he look like the others, he doesn’t ACT like them as well..

They successfully got the “message” across that the only reason tha anyone would vote against him was because of his race.

This explains the dichotomy between his “popularity” and his “job performance”.

Even through the anonymity of a “poll”, no one wants to be considered a “racist” when they are just being a “realist”..

It is impossible for the left to turn Rush and Hannity into “comedic characters”. The left is completely devoid of humor. Listen to them for five minutes. THAT is why their “radio” doesn’t “sell”, they can’t even amuse EACH OTHER.

Your point is an excellent one, but it is one that the afore mentioned Rush and Hannity contribute to.

By “marginalizing” themselves as the “only” conservative voices out there (along with Levin, Ingraham, a few others..) they are allowing the spotlight of attention to be focused solely upon them.

Why aren’t these “leaders” out beating the bushes looking for and assisting other conservative voices (or writers..) to help with “the fight”?

Aren’t we all on the same team? Would ten more conservative voices (or writers..) place a dent in the audiences of either of these men? Rush fans listen to Hannity, read Levin, watch O’Reilly… you get the point.

There are those of us out there who are more than willing to contribute to the “cause”. Most of us are only allowed to do it from a distance. So be it, the MESSAGE is what is important.

    Thanks as always,

  27. I had read “somewhere”, forgive this old absentee mind, that a Ford executive was quoted as saying the company was converting a former Expediton SUV assembly plant over to the production of the tincan with wheels, passenger killing but oh, are they great on gas cars.

The exec said that where not only they, but all automakers of SUVs profit about $6 billion dollars in sales from SUVs, the fuel economy cars give very little if any profits back to the companies per year.

  28. Eileen, there is much more “intertwining” than you could possibly believe, if you are like most folks. (But I don’t believe you are.)

There are three great books authored by the late Antony C Sutton, which go into great detail about the intertwining on a massive scale. I found two web sites where you can read them for free. The three books are:
    1. Wall Street and the Rise of Adolph Hitler
    2. Wall Street and the Bolshevik Revolution
    3. Wall Street and FDR

The first two can be found by clicking on their book title links at

The last book can be found at

Clicking on the “Bibliography” links found at the bottom of each book site will give you even more sources!

Click on the “Chapter Three” link at the Hitler book, and you will read about GE’s involvement.

When you go to the Reformed-Theology home page, at the top right, by clicking on the SRT political books “online catalog” link, you can buy other great books that expose the machinations of the elite!

    Sadly, the average American :
    1. Does not know what has happened in the past;
    2. Does not know what is happening now;
    3. Does not know what will be happening in the future.

    We must inform them!
    Knowledge is power!

  29. I goofed again! The Reformed-Theology web page is obviously wrong! I accidentally added “.com” after the “org” address. Old habits are sometimes hard to break!( Sorry ’bout that.)
So, the correct web page is

I’ll try to be more careful in the future.

  30. I forgot to say that at the home page, you need to click on the “SRT Books’ link on the left side. I was misled because the web page address does NOT change after you click on the SRT Books link, to get to the book links! Why do webmasters do that?

  31. Obama said (during his presidential campaign, I believe): “Because if you are ready for change, then you can elect a president who has taught the Constitution, and believes the Constitution, and will obey the Constitution of the USA.”

Wait a minute! Didn’t he misspeak? Didn’t he REALLY mean the Constitution of the USSR, more popularly known as the “Communist Manifesto”?

  32. Obama: “A waste of errant space.”

  33. Oh, happy day when the dark-cloud presidency of Barack Hussein Obama is remembered as a bad dream!
    God-speed that day!

  34. Eileen, in the book about Wall Street and FDR, in chapter 8 (“Wall Street Buys the New Deal”), it states:

“In rereading the FDR campaign speeches, it becomes obvious that they lack concreteness and specific facts. Presumably the Moley-Tugwell team set out the general theme and Baruch and Johnson introduced supporting statements in such areas as credit expansion, the consequences of speculation, the role of the Federal Reserve system, and so on. It is remarkable, but perhaps not surprising, that these Baruch-influenced speeches took the reader back to World War I, cited the contemporary emergency as greater than that of the war, and then subtly suggested similar Baruchian solutions. ”

Whoa! That first sentence sounds as if it was talking about Obama on the campaign trail! I guess he learned well at the “feet of his mentor.”

  35. lol larry, i was wondering if i would get a response!

Why will noone in Washington speak out against these atrocities? I can only guess that either there are no more people of character left, or they’ve been bullied into silence. It is far easier to stay quiet than risk being called a traitor.

  37. One thing I wanted to add about the bailouts specifically with regard to the mortgage lenders and banks. All these CEO’s are the Federal Reserve Board of NY, which they are basically giving themselves permission to take whatever they need.

  38. I want to add a thank you to the current and past military and our law enforcement personnel who frequent this site. Thank you for your service to this Nation for fighting and protecting our freedoms. I pray that Obama is unsuccessful at removing our freedoms. THANK YOU ALL!! Hug a veteran and/or our police officers today to show the respect for what they do to protect the rest of us.

  39. Triviaman, just wake me when it’s over so that I don’t have to hear his daily speeches centering on liberal gibberish double talk (I love Sean Hannity’s segment of liberal translation, funny stuff). You say a lot words but have no point or truth in its meaning. I’m so sick of his daily news conference. He is sandwich between to liberal, egotistical idiots in Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden. I created two bumper stickers and a t-shirt that says I’m with stupid where each one is pointing their finger at the other one. Joe Biden is so similar to Al Gore but the media and elite liberal’s poked fun at him and when the impeachment hearings were going on we heard “Are you serious? You want to hand the country over to him?” A few years later they were singing about his brilliance, my how times changes their perspective.

In remembering all those American servicemen of all wars, those that were able to go home and those that could not, those that were sound of body and mind and those that were not, I would like to add my condolences and thoughts of encouragement to those who today, still suffer the insufferable. Most will never know the sense and level of grieving felt by those who have lost family members in a place and time, so far away. And grief is universal. The death of American Vietnam Veterans still gives cause for grief to Australian veterans who served with them. There are a number of US Veteran organisations that keep in touch with their Australian counterparts and pass on news of the death of a mate. Sometimes, it is hard to handle, even after all these years.

I would like to relate the story of a mate (Australian) who served in Vietnam with me and how a sad story played out almost 10 years after the death of his US buddy. The USSF soldier (I’ll call him Buddy) was part of a ready reaction force whose job it was to go to the assistance of any of our units/group/patrols that came into difficulties. Being ‘Special Forces’ and probably some of the best ‘thieves’ in country at the time, we were able to acquire a number of M13s (APCs) and which became part of any reaction force. One day, Buddy’s reaction force was called out to assist a patrol that was in heavy contact with a local Vietcong unit not all that far from our base. The M113s rushed full bore to the contact area and on ‘debussing’ the eager young men came under fire themselves. Some of the more exuberant young fellows rushed forward to join with the enemy (Buddy was one of them) at the same time as the .50 cal MG opened up from one of the M113s. Sadly, Buddy was hit by that machine gun fire and after some brief, heavy fighting his body was evacuated back to the base. For my friend, Buddy’s death never became just ‘a statistic’ and he never forgot his good U.S. mate. He even made a trip (after the war) to the US to visit Buddy’s grave and to visit with Buddys family. Sadly, the events leading up to Buddy’s death were never relayed to my friend and he was under the belief that he was Killed in Action as a result of enemy fire. One day, about 10 years after Buddy’s death, we were again serving together as instructors at one of our instructional centres. Of course, conversation would sometimes go back to our Vietnam days and my friend would always relate ‘Buddy’s story’ as he knew it. What was I to do? Maybe I had turned into a blithering coward, but I could not bring myself to tell my friend of the true circumstances. I was at my desk one day, when my friend opened the door to our communal office and just stood there looking at me. He was quite pallid and had a questioning look on his face and after what appeared to be an eternity, he slowly walked over to me and placing both hands squarely on my desk, lowered his head to my level, looked at me and said “Why?” Without him telling me, I knew what had happened. Someone (I never found out who) had told my friend of the true circumstances involving Buddy’s death. Talk about a mind shattering day. After a while, when the both of us had regained some semblance of normalcy, I grabbed my cap and said “Let’s go for a walk.” I can’t remember much of the conversation that followed, but at the end of our walk, there was a sense of calm between us and for me, a great sense of relief.

With U.S. newspaper saying that there are 900 deaths on a daily basis of U.S WW 2 veterans, it won’t be long before they are all gone, Korean War Veterans as well, then of course, us Vietnam Veterans. For those that have gone on ahead and for those that are left to remember, I would like to put forward the fourth stanza of a poem which is recited every Anzac Day (our Memorial day), the 25th of April in Australia and New Zealand.(ANZAC – Australia and New Zealand Army Corps):

The Fouth Stanza from: ‘For The Fallen’ – Laurence Binyon ( Full Poem is att: )

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the Sun and in the morning
    We will remember them.

  41. Arthur:

God bless you. You did the right thing at the time. In the ten years since “Buddy’s “death, your friend had some time to accept, as best he could, his friends death. He was better able to come to terms with the truth when he found out. His grief might have destroyed him if he had learned it earlier.

One of my best friends is a Vietnam Vet (Marine)and I think that he would tell you the same thing. He has been through a lot and he has told me that sometimes it is better not to know things until way after they happen, because then you are better prepared to deal with them. In the heat of the moment you can make grave mistakes.

G Nichols: We know who the true traitor really is. Will no one bring Treason charges against the False One? He and others swore to uphold the Constitution of these United States. When a government seizes private businesses it was termed “National Socialism” 70 years ago. Now it’s a payoff to the UAW for votes. GOP members have been bullied into silence. They remember what happened to Vince Foster.
May God save the Republic. We may not be allowed to cast ballots in 2010.
