Expansive And Expensive

In what has to be one of the top three most oxymoronic headlines in the last 120 days, Reuters tosses up the following: “Obama seeks fiscal responsibility mantle”. The other two contenders were: “Bill Clinton Chides Edwards Over Infidelity” and “Biden Swears Off Brandy..Not The Singer..”

Suddenly after nearly four months of socialist savagery directed at the economy and the middle class, Obama wants “fiscal responsibility..” Yes, he is “serious about improving the U.S. budget picture..” The only way that that would be possible would be for him to consider going back to training his ACORN acolytes and partying with Bill Ayers..

Obama wants passage of a “pay as you go” type of legislation. This is not to be confused with another popular liberal Democratic political ploy called “pay to play” featuring almost Obama cabinet member Bill Richardson and Illinois liberal Rod Blagojevich.. Here Obama is taxing the public’s ability to swallow vast amounts of his socialist syrup of Ipecac. He would “require” any “tax cuts and spending programs to be paid for within the budget..” Obama has endorsed the printing of “free money” (no problem with inflation there..) so this should not present any problems for the green eye shaded galoot. The imaginary “tax cuts” that Obama will be presenting as the mid term election draws near are just the particleboard store fronts at the entrance to his progressive Potemkin Village. His beloved “spending programs” will always sail through unchecked, he will demand that government “move quickly” as he says when it is time to molest the middle class without any thorough crime scene investigation..

This is all “very simple” according to Obama, “Congress can only spend a dollar if it saves a dollar elsewhere..” This WILL be easy for the liberals, cut a dollar from defense, give it to “the indigent”. Cut a dollar from ballistic missile technology, give it to “the poor”. What is their excuse for closing tax “loopholes” benefiting the middle class or for raising taxes as opposed to cutting them? “..We inherited this mess..” This is true. You inherited this “mess” from yourselves, the majority in both Houses since 2006..

Now after creating budget deficits of nearly two trillion dollars this year alone (12.9 per cent of the gross domestic product) through “Marxist mirroring”, he feels the urge to put on a dog and pony show of “restraint” replete with a patented Clinton “finger wag” or two. This is all just disingenuous Democratic demagoguery because even in his own tainted words, we have a “health care crisis..”

NOW Obama has made “health care reform” his “number one priority”, which has now replaced “Dismantle America As A World Power”. No problem, Obama has now said that “Congress can borrow tens of billions of dollars and put the nation even deeper in debt to jump-start the administration’s emerging health care overhaul..” (Obama: It’s OK to borrow to pay for health care” Yahoo News)

That’s right, his “health care reform would get a green light (operated by liberal Reds..) to run big deficits in its early years..” Just how many “years” we will never know but based upon his previous handy works, I feel safe in guessing at about fifty or more..

Where is all of this “fiscal discipline” that he was bleating about yesterday? Even if the Dork Knight stopped spending like Biden at the liquor store TODAY, he has created “exploding deficits projected to total ten trillion dollars over the next decade.” Again, for dramatic effect he said, “The pay as you go rule is very simple. Congress can only spend a dollar if it saves a dollar somewhere else..” All of this “saving” baloney reminds me of his imbecilic “saving” of jobs.. No proof, just take his weasely words for it..

Yahoo’s story even admits that “Obama’s health care plan will add many billions of dollars to the deficit in the early years..” Remember, he “inherited” this “mess”.. In four YEARS Bush, through 9-11 and the Wars ran a deficit of between $159 billion and $413 billion. In less than FOUR MONTHS, Obama has QUADRUPLED those amounts.. “The federal (OBAMA) deficit is on pace to explode past $1.8 trillion this year, more than four times last year’s all-time high..” This talk of “fiscal responsibility” from Obama represents the comical side of communism..

Congress appears right on track to “award increase averaging 12 per cent to non-defense programs..” Again, this is no problem for the liberal liars. “Obama’s proposal would require future tax cuts to be financed by tax increases elsewhere..” Here we have the “Three Card Monte” of liberal tax “cuts”.. Twelve per cent more goes to programs enabling sloth and perpetuating the lowest (Democratic) class in perpetuity but tax cuts are financed by tax increases..

They are at least realistic enough to understand that time is not on their side, thus the need to rush everything through. The PERMANENT damage done by the Totalitarian tyros will be front and center in 2010. In “Dems double down on health care” (Politico) the left is applying “pressure to move quickly on Obama’s top first year legislative priority..” Here we revisit the “game plan” used with the “$787 billion dollar stimulus package”, otherwise known as the Obama “Sold Me A Bill of Goods” Bill..

The amperage surrounding the “crisis” begets the necessity to “move quickly”.. Even Henry Waxman is chiming in, “This is the year we have to do it..” They realize that this is the progressive “perfect storm”. They will be out in either the House or the Senate (or possibly both?) in 2010, so they have to move on as many of their destructive Democratic dirty deals as they can before the axe falls.

The story reports of “fiscally conservative blue dog Democrats” and “moderate Democrats” (WHO??) expressing concern that the Obama fascism will “undermine the private market”. As an aside, whoever these folks are, they dropped the ball on the banks, Chrysler and General Motors.. These reservations were pooh-poohed by Waxman who said, “Why should private companies object to competition?” The left and their socialistic susceptibilities are all about eliminating “competition” on every front.. The snorts from the Holland Tunnel sized nostrils of Waxman are just the Democratic diversions away from their strangulation of any and all “competition” with their liberal leviathan government..

“..The more liberal members want a more expansive-and expensive- plan..” Imagine my surprise.. Representative Brian Blair (L-WA.) “told colleagues that any bill should include mental health and dental insurance..” Blair must be tired if hearing about burden that Howard Dean’s psychiatric sessions place upon his bank account..

Even the union stooges were compelled to whine and pule. Andy Stern “president” of the Service Employees International Union copiously congratulated the committee for its “courage and passion to provide Americans with more choices and more affordable health care options including one guaranteed by the government that puts the good of the American people ahead of profits..” I hope that this union zombie will remember that when their next contract negotiation rolls around.. I would like to see this marionette read the Constitution and point out the portion outlining “guaranteed governmental health care”. I’d just be happy if he could read..

So Obama wants to spend a dollar ONLY when he can save a dollar, tax cuts are to be funded by tax increases elsewhere and the liberals want a more “expansive and expensive” health care “option” “guaranteed by the government”..

Think 2010, never give up, never give in and never again..

    Larry and the Good People:

Oh! Unhappy Day! In a state of teary flux here.

For those who have dogs and those of us who have rekindled a love for those little buggers that reminds us/me of days when I was young – ‘When the World was Wide’, some untimely bad news. This very morn, I like a fool, did not check the whereabouts of my littlest mate Choco as the wife drove out on her way to work. He’s gone now, went quickly, not before he gave me a parting bite though. Only 8 weeks old, but Choco gave me 1 week of pure happiness. My wife is a mess at work and no amount of my comforting and reminding her that it was an accident will help very much today I’m afraid.

Thank you Eileen and Thank you LadyWolf for your beaut words about Jillie and Choco.

    My best to all

You may not know this..actually a great many of you may not know this..

I am a canine officer for the St. Louis police department.

My “partner” for the last nine years has been Basko.. Basko Vom Kokeltal is his full name.

Basko is eleven. He is due to “retire” right about July 1st.

No one can guess that he is eleven. He is obsessive about his job, protecting me.

The first day that I got Basko I began to think about the last day that I will have him.. It’s not working out as I had planned, the idea isn’t getting any easier to deal with..

For now, Basko gets to retire to the basement where his couch and his best friend Little Butchie, his little brother Jack Russell Terrier will enjoy each others company, playing “hide and seek” together..

NOT working will probably kill him. I will soon begin training a new “partner”, an explosives detecting dog.

Every day after work, I will still put Basko back in the car, drive around a bit, just to let him think that he is still in the game..

Those who do not love dogs are deficient. The thugs on the street are of no concern to me, I enjoy sending THEM to the “pound” so to speak. When they die of “natural causes” natural to their “line of work” that is, society benefits. When a family dog passes on, the void is real and discernable..

You will be in my prayers, cobber. Find another fuzzy fluffy mate. Choco will be there when all is said and done.

My goal in life is to be the kind of person my dog thinks that I am.

I will always fall short of that lofty goal from my perspective but I always manage to meet it from his.

There should be a picture or two of my buudy Basko on the “pictures” page here at NLTZ.

    Thanks as always, my friend,

  3. Has anyone heard from Stitch and Amy? I’m getting kind of worried.

  4. Arthur Nankervis

Beautiful words cobber and they do help to soothe the troubled head – “Where only two have stroked before – And both of them are dead.” (Part Henry Lawson).

Very clever dog you have there – I had a German Shepherd when I was about 14, paid for him myself from wages as a ‘meat delivery boy’. He was huge and had everyone scared shitless, except my Mum, Dad and I. Had to be put down at about 5 years – Took him to the vet on first leave in the Army. Thought he (Duke) would be the first & last.

A few days ago, we had the ‘Assassin’ in (that’s another story) to plant some trees, so I pulled one of them out, enlarged the hole, placed Choco in and covered him up. The tree is a magnolia and when the mound subsides a bit, I replant it over Choco (probably the first chocolate magnolia to grow).

Once again Larry – You (and Basko) have helped me immensely with your concern and work story.

I’ll go and sit outside for awhile in the morning cool, try not to think too much and await the pleasant lassitude of a warm topical afternoon.

  5. IF BHO really wanted to improve health care in this country, he would help organize pet adoptions instead of taxing us to death! It has been proven in several scientific studies that pets reduce blood pressure, which reduces risks of heart attacks and strokes, and also boost immune responses.

I am sorry to hear about Choco’s untimely demise. It is my belief that you can not find better dogs than Labs. (I have a 4 year old female, Lab-mix, named Feya.) Using the magnolia as a memorial is a great way to keep him alive. The pain never goes away, but it does become more bearable.

I don’t have any idea what has happened with Stitch and Amy. I don’t remember who, but somebody said that “Butch” hasn’t posted anything on YouTube in quite some time, either. I can’t remember the URL of Amy’s blog or I would check to see if she has posted anything recently.

  6. Another fine article, Larry, and you’re right – I didn’t know you were a canine officer. That’s awesome! We had German Shepherds when I was young and they are great dogs.

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. I’ve had dogs all my life (I’m now in my mid-forties) and have lost them at both young age and old and it never gets any easier. I’ve also lost a couple to accidents and that’s especially hard. Even now we have an 18-year old Corgi mix and wonder how much longer she will hold out (we’ve had her since 1992).

I’ve heard some people say that they would never get another dog, but that’s not me. I feel even though you can’t replace the one you lost, the new one makes the loss easier to handle. Whatever you decide, you and your wife are in my thoughts and prayers.

  7. Larry,

    Another great read…..

My heart goes out to you. My good friend Jax passed several years ago, a stately German Shepherd. I remember him like it was yesterday. He was a true American, bold, brave, willing to stand up for what is right. You all would have been proud of him. He would have fit RIGHT in….

  8. Larry – awesome article. You’re the best at keeping my mind active! You remind me of Beck sometimes. And, I loved to hear about your partner, Basko. Amazing things you all do and plenty of people indebted to you and Basko, I’m quite sure.

You’re absolutely right – people who don’t love dogs ARE deficient. Our “Cody” is eleven too – I dread that day as well.

Arthur – I can’t tell you how sorry I am. I was in tears reading about your day. It’ll take time as I’m sure you know but, you and your wife will heal – everyone is much stronger than they think they are when challenged. My thoughts are with you.

  9. Arthur:

I’m so sorry for your loss. Choco may be gone but I’m sure he won’t be forgotten. I hope you and your wife decide to get another furry child. It will help you and Jillie too. For the most part I’ve always had two dogs at a time. It’s good for a dog to have the company of another dog especially when their people are away.

My prayers and thoughts are with you all.

  10. Eileen,

Stitch has tagged in on “The Necessity and Promise” article. Don’t hold your breath but I’m sure you’ll see him here too. Same ‘ol Stitch!

I’m thinking that ol’ Billy Boy is feeling pretty safe in chiding Edwards over infidelity. He’s married to pirahana/person?/liberal Hillary Secretary of State who’d handle any diplomatic upheavals. Up to this point the pant-a-looned loonie only had experience in “domestic” affairs, this would now qualify as a “foreign” affairs without Bill.

  11. Seems to be a common thread here – My wife is self employed as a “Pet Nanny” and we have 3 dogs and 5 cats. Each one a special individual. It’s hard competing for attention around here.

  12. Larry:

I’ve always been suspicous of people who don’t like dogs. I can understand if person has been bitten or attacked by a dog but I feel that those that just don’t like them have something wrong with them.

Basko sounds like a great “partner”. I had a half Shepherd, half Akita mix. Casey’s mom was an Akita and his dad was a King Shepherd. He was huge and one of the smartest dogs I ever had. I never had to worry about protection with him around. Dogs give such unconditional love, I wouldn’t want to be without one.

In regard to your article: So, the Not So Great Pretender in our White House “wants to spend a dollar ONLY when he can save a dollar.” I wonder just where he think he’s going to get all those dollars when the economy really crashes and the middle class doesn’t have any money to support all the liberal leeches.

Think 2010, never give up, never give in and never again..

  13. “Comical side of Communism.” That was a wonderful phrase, Larry. Excellent article.

  14. Margaret in CT

Whatever the cause and whatever the age, when we lose out canine mates we lose among the most loyal and loving members of our families. It’s hard to endure. God bless you and your wife, Arthur.

I heard a clip of my Naught in Shining Armor on my car radio today. Speaking in Green Bay, he kindly assured me: “I know that there are millions of Americans who are happy, who are content with their health care coverage—they like their plan, they value their relationship with their doctor. And no matter how we reform health care, I intend to keep this promise: If you like your doctor, you’ll be able to keep your doctor; if you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan.” Bull pucky, Barack.

He said that he doesn’t want “socialized medicine” and only wants to provide “competition” in the insurance field. Daddy Marx would be downright proud of these obfuscations. But we have been onto his lies from the beginning and know that he wants a single payer. The government. Period.

He also said, “For the government, the growing cost of Medicare and Medicaid is the biggest threat to our federal deficit, bigger than Social Security, bigger than all the investments that we’ve made so far. So if you’re worried about spending and you’re worried about deficits, you need to be worried about the cost of health care.” Earth to Barack: This situation will not be cured by slathering on another layer of health care subsidies.

I’m not certain whether he or the his adoring public is functioning in the stratosphere. How long will it be before he has to do something more than dress up in an expensive suit and utter sweet nothings?

  15. LARRY

My Dad was a canine officer for the Pittsburgh, PA police department for 20 years. His first dog, Sigmund, served for 10 years, and my Dad was heart broken when he had to be put down because of cancer.

I remember Sigmund well. When he stood up he was taller than me and weighed 125 lbs. He was gentle with the family and a most fearsom protector of my Dad. Dad often came through some very dangerous calls without harm because of his “buddy.”

Another reason to admire you Larry!

And, I see you are a near neighbor in St. Louis.

  16. ARTHUR

We will soon have to part with our beloved, Munchkin, who has been my close companion for seven years. We have had many attempts to save her and we have run out of options.

I will tell you that I have cried buckets of tears. I don’t know how I am going to be able to make that last decision. I am trully unconsolable. I can understand how your wife must feel.

  17. First of all Health Care…when will Obama get off the campaign trail? I for one feel he could save some taxpayer money by staying home as well as saving the environment from all those emissions etc. Forgive me but I’m old and don’t know all the “in phrases”. This guy is just really getting on my last nerve period!

I love reading your blog..I’m a St. Louis girl and any news from back home is always welcome.

Now to our pet friends..I love all animals and am deeply distressed when one leaves us. My pasture is a burial ground for my horses, dogs and cats. My vet suggested planting a tree over one of the burial locations as a lasting memorial. I thought that was very thoughtful of him but he is a wonderful vet. He gets as upset as we do.

Well as you say…never give up, never give in and never again.

    LOVE Pittsburgh. GREAT city.

Basko is by far the best partner that I have ever had. Period.

He has an extreme distrust of grown ups (another reason that I love him..) but kids can ride him like a horse.

He loves to play with the horses at our mounted patrol station in Forest Park. All of the other dogs are petrified of the horse. He gives them kisses.

I’ve had people give up just by hearing him bark.

His little brother is Little Butchie, a Jack Russell and they love to play “hide and seek”..

It’s the worst job in the world. He makes it so much better.

    Thanks as always,

Politicians NEVER get off of the trail. I just wish that they would pay for it themselves..

    Thanks for your kind words.

Another great read, but then again, all of your articles are. On to dogs – I totally understand your concerns about Basko’s retirement. Being involved in the sport of schutzhund, I’m familiar with having to retire dogs. Although the sport is not the same as police work, retirement is the same.

Arthur – my sincere condolences on your loss of Choco. I’ve been there too many times before.
My heart goes out to you and your wife.

Larry and the kind family at NLTZ,

A special, warm and sincere ‘THANK YOU’ to all the very nice people who go to make up the friendliest place to meet on this devilish Internet. I am deeply touched for the kind expressions of sympathy and the wonderful little stories of attachment to and love of the canine family. It seems that we have something more in common than just loving Larry’s ‘Witty Way with Words’. I’m sure we are in agreeance that Larry’s devotion to the task of keeping NLTZ contributors ‘current’ with ‘up-to-date’ subject matter and a writing style that welcomes and attracts comment … is why we are here together today. Most of all, I believe that it is Larry’s and the family’s love for country which shines through most vividly.

After my initial forays onto NLTZ, I often asked myself “Why do I post comments here?” I don’t know these people. They may not appreciate an Australian commenting on things American. These people may not like how I seem to be able to stray off subject so easily. Those trepidations are behind me now, especially after the loss of Choco and all the wonderful comments and personal experiences expressed by the family – they are very much appreciated. My special thanks to those who allowed me into part of their life. I know you a lot better now. For: Larry; Todd; TJFincham; Lonely Man; j9; LadyWolf; Kurt; Margaret in CT; Louise; AZNANA and ‘beyond disgusted’ .. May your lives be blessed with Blue Skies, Green Oases, Warm Breezes and Spit-Free Camels. For those I may have missed – please let me know.

A very special thank you to the ‘Boss’ Larry. No longer the complete man of mystery. I knew you went to work and yet found time for the family. I knew you were interested in doing more for the conservative movement and I sure hope that pans out for you. However, up until now, you were simply: Larry in America at NLTZ. A lot of that has changed now. I/We know that you have a tough job for which the people of St Louis should be grateful (had to look up the map for a squizz at where St Louis and Missouri were – I always thought Missouri was further south on the coast, but I see you are landlocked). I don’t know if I’d be able to handle restrictions of crime prevention. Much easier in the army and having a free fire zone, shoot and ask questions later. I did a Google for The City of Saint Louis Police Department Canine Division and looked over the old photographs (the constabulary looks like those from the Green Mile). Thanks for sharing a big part of your life with us Larry.

As suggested by a couple of family members, moves are afoot for finding a new litle mate and strange as it may seem, the biggest question on my mind at the moment is should I name the new fellow Choco or should I try something new? Would naming the new mate Choco confuse Jillie? Family comments are welcome.

I shall make a tactical withdrawal now and be off outside.

    My best to all

  22. Arthur-

You’re just too sweet. I love reading your posts and often get a big kick out of your use of the language. Much like Larry, you and many other NLT frequent flyers make me smile, make my day, and many times I laugh ’til I cry! As for me (and likely the rest of this family), I don’t care where anybody is from – as long as they’re contributing to the cause, they’re a-ok in my book.

I think everybody shared a little bit more of themselves in this post which is heartwarming actually.

Regarding your new baby’s name, if it were me, I’d pick a new one – special to his or her little (or big) personality. Choco will always hold a special place in you & your wife’s heart – and that name should be his forever. Just my humble opinion.

    Take care.

  23. Great article Larry….as always!
Dear Arthur…so sorry for your loss. I love all animals but especially my cats and horse. I had to put down my Manx of 16 years a couple of weeks ago…and I too am greatful for the right to end their suffering. Weezer…a/k/a Princess “Weez” by my grandsons was a pistol with an attitude til the end. Stubborn was her nature, flawless and coifed was her look. A lap…any lap would do….but mine was clearly her favorite. You should always acknowledge how their buddies feel…and in Weez’s case her brother Ollie misses her sooooooo much. He’s only a few years her junior so I too think about when his time will come. My horse Emily is 26 and well…….enjoy and love them every day…time is short.

  24. noleftturnz

Thank you for your kind words.

When a member of the “family” is in pain and I know about it, the “process of properly persecuting the progressive poltroons” takes a back seat..

Here is my suggestion for the newest addition to the Nankervis clan…”Cobber”.

What do you and the misses think?

    Thanks as always my friend,

  25. Larry and Family:

A friend just sent this to me. I thought you might appreciate a bit of humor today.

    Stimulus Story

It is the month of August, a resort town sits next to the shores of a lake. It is raining, and the little town looks totally deserted. It is tough times, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit.

Suddenly, a rich tourist comes to town.
He enters the only hotel, lays a 100 dollar bill on the reception counter, and goes to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one.

The hotel proprietor takes the 100 dollar bill and runs to pay his debt to the butcher.

The Butcher takes the 100 dollar bill, and runs to pay his debt to the pig raiser.

The pig raiser takes the 100 dollar bill, and runs to pay his debt to the supplier of his feed and fuel.

The supplier of feed and fuel takes the 100 dollar bill and runs to pay his debt to the town’s prostitute that in these hard times, gave her “services” on credit.

The hooker runs to the hotel, and pays off her debt with the 100 dollar bill to the hotel proprietor to pay for the rooms that she rented when she brought her clients there.

The hotel proprietor then lays the 100 dollar bill back on the counter so that the rich tourist will not suspect anything.

At that moment, the rich tourist comes down after inspecting the rooms, and takes his 100 dollar bill, after saying that he did not like any of the rooms, and leaves town.

No one earned anything. However, the whole town is now without debt, and looks to the future with a lot of optimism .

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the United States Government is doing business today.

  26. Arthur,

Please accept my warmest sincere condolences over the lost of Choco, tell your wife that she didn’t do anything wrong, that’s why they call them accidents. After reading what happened I shredded a few tears at the lost of your warm and cuddly fur ball. Just know the week she spent with you and your wife was probably the best week of her life. She went out knowing what love is. I do hope you think about getting a playmate for Jillie. I’m so sorry.

  27. I had another Golden Retriever, her name was Brandy. She had medical troubles with her liver and the vet didn’t know what was wrong with her. He sent us to a specialist who was getting ready to go on vacation. Brandy was just 3 when she passed away the next day. I remember the look and happiness on her face when she heard me coming to say goodbye. Knowing how bad she was feeling, it gave us some hope that many it wasn’t as bad as we thought. The new vet didn’t think it was anything bad, which also gave us hope. To lose her was upsetting and devastating for me, then the vet sent me the bill of $800.00 for doing nothing for her pissed me off. Later that week I called the breeder to tell him what happened to see if any other puppies from the same litter had any issues. He said no but he offered me another puppy when his new bitch delivered the next litter, which was about a week. I brought my dad and friend with me to choose the next one, and we choose the beautiful dark red Golden Retriever and named her Clancy. When we moved to Mobile, Clancy was a little upset and confused about the move.

Then Hurricane Katrina hit and a few weeks after we decided to go to the Flea Market (opened on weekends) as we were walking around we found a young family who came from Moss Point, Mississippi. The hurricane did a lot of damage to their barn where they kept their golden’s, who gave birth a few days before the hurricane hit. He had 12 beautiful puppies there in a playpen. I fell in love with them. They had two females and the rest were males. The owner said that both females were taken. That a woman had wanted to purchased them and planned to return. He took our names and phone number and said that if she didn’t return, he planned to come back on Sunday and he would give one of the females to us. Early Sunday morning we got the call and went to pick her up. We debated back and forth over the name, I wanted to name her Bridget, my dad wanted to name her Brandy in honor of the one we lost. Since my mom’s mother’s name was Bridget and she was an Irish Bitch, I thought it was perfect. I was overruled. We named her Brandi with an I instead of a y. Clancy was so happy she had a friend and playmate. They run around in the backyard play with their toys and both are happy and healthy.

  28. Arthur,
This is for you and your wife…may it bring you comfort. It does for me.

  29. Rayne, that was a beautiful thing you did to post that link! It brought tears to my eyes. It reminded me of my family’s short-haired collie, who, though she was nearly blind at the age of 18 years, still ran after cars–which is how she met her demise!

What a beautiful, loyal dog she was!

Thank you for bringing back the wonderful memories!

  30. triviaman,
    Your welcome!

If you work AND pay taxes, National Socialized Health Care, or “Gubment Healf Car” will cost you SIX times as much as it does now, or your benefits will be reduced – to be “spread around” to all those who pay NO taxes.

The Progressive Socialists are claiming that 40 to 50 million Americans are uninsured, or “under-insured” (whatever that means).
    Is “under-insured” akin to “under-automobiled”?
If you have a better car than one of the Obamites, do you have to “fund” their new car?
    Is “under-insured” akin to “under-homed”?
If you have a better home than one of the Obamites, do you have to “fund” their new home?

First of all, since when do politicians NOT lie?
That should make us at least question that “40 to 50” million figure.
But, for the sake of argument, let’s take their high number of 50 million.

National Socialized Health Care would include 11 to 12 million ILLEGAL ALIENS!
Are you willing to pay for illegal aliens?
Are you willing to reduce YOUR coverage so that illegals can have the same coverage as you?
Removing the 11 to 12 million illegals from the “50 million” total, leaves less than 40 million.

Over half of those 40 million are single people under the age of 35 with full-time jobs.
In other words, they CAN pay for their own insurance.
Removing these 20 million single people from the 40 million leaves us with less than 20 million.

Over half of those 20 million are married couples making over $50,000 per year.
Though not rich, but with proper budgeting these people CAN pay for their own insurance.
Removing these 10 million married couples from the 20 million leaves us with less than 10 million.

So, in reality, there are less, probably far less, than 10 million people who do not have insurance, need insurance, but cannot afford insurance.
Ironically, there are so few of these people (relatively speaking) that the liberal elitists like Oprah, Soros, etc, could EASILY pay their insurance premiums for them.
Oprah would just have to “survive” on $500 million for the rest of her life.
By the way, did you know that the Progressive Socialists include people like Oprah, Trump, and Bill Gates in their number of “uninsured”?
(when you’re a billionaire, why pay for a $100,000 insurance policy?)

YOU are still going to pay for your insurance, duh gubment will just “creatively” STEAL it from you by taxing EVERYTHING you do or buy.
And, YOU and I will collectively pay for that one person that does not have insurance, cannot afford it, but really needs it.
However, for each one of these “poor” people, you and I will also pay for:
    ONE, illegal alien
TWO, single people under 35 with full-time jobs.
ONE, married person making over $50,000 a year.
ALL, of the billionaires who simple see no need to BUY insurance.

    And, it gest WORSE!
One of the arguments for Nationalizing health care is to remove the burden from the backs of corporate America (since when does the left care about corporate America??).
For most of us, we pay half of our health care benefits and our employer pays the other half.
If Obama removes this “burden” from the corporations, the BURDEN falls squarely on OUR shoulders.
So you and I go from paying half to paying ALL of the health care.

    And it gets WORSE!
For every dollar duh gubment spends it has to collect 3 to cover their beauracry and corruption.
So not only are you and I going to pay for this “insurance” but we are going to fund the most beauracratic and corrupt organizaton since the Roman Senate to manage the whole thing.

    And it gest WORSE!

If Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security are any indicators, do you really want the government dictating your health care decisions?

So, for every 1 person in that 10 million who needs insurance but cannot afford insurance, we will also have to buy insurance for:
    One illegal alien.
Two single, under 35, full-time working people.
One married person making over $50,000 a year.
Oprah, Trump, Gates, and the rest of the filthy rich.
    YOUR OWN health care.
YOUR employer’s half of the bill.
Half the country’s population that doesnt pay ANY taxes.
So, tell me again how YOU are going to benefit from Progressive National Socialist Health Care?

The White House has even threatened members of their own Democratic party if they even talked to Republicans or Independents about this legislation.
Their orders are to put the bill together, pass it, and fund it – NO DISCUSSIONS!
The White House is telling us that we do not have time to debate this.
Obama says it is urgent that Congress give him over $600 billion IMMEDIATELY!
Failure to act quickly would doom us all to “health care hell”.
Didn’t we hear that same lie for the $787 billion stimulus bill (that no one read)??
Obama HAD to have all that money, no questions asked, ….or else!
“PANIC PANIC PANIC! Don’t talk about, just pass it and give me the money”.
Obama promised unemployment would not go above 8% if he just had another $787 billion.
Well, he got his $787 billion, and we lost another 1.6 million jobs.
Unemployment now stands at 9.4% with no end in sight.
And Obama’s barking dog, Joe Biden, says “we all guessed wrong”.
Not quite Joey. YOU guys guessed wrong.
99% of the Republicans and over 60% of Americans were RIGHT!
Obama promised that $787 billion was for “shovel-ready” projects.
Now we see the only thing being shoveled is our money into the pockets of Mr Obama’s supporters and his BS trying to cover up their lies and failures.

It was also discovered that it took the Obama administration over a MONTH to find the right “poor” people that Obama could put center stage during his “dog & pony” show trying to scare us all into his plans.

Max Baucus is a Senator from Montana. Max represents more cows than people.
But, Max is in charge of this “gubment healf car”.

Call Senator Max Baucus offices and let him know how you feel about this.

    Tell Max:
NO to National Socialism Health Care
NO to his strong arm tactics to exclude Republicand and Independents.
YES to fix Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security FIRST.

GM, Chrysler, AIG, all went bankrupt even after assurances from duh gubment that 100’s of billions of our tax dollars would prevent that from happening.

This is NOT about “Health Care”.
    It IS about POWER.
Middle class Americans make over $10 TRILLION a year. (“rich” Americans make less than $2 trillion).
We are the richest body of people in the world and EVERYONE wants to get into our pockets.
Obama is simply a thief – of a different color.

    End the TYRANNY!

PS – copy and send this comment to as many people as you can.
Socialized medicine is NOT about “HEALTH CARE”.
It is a simple POWER GRAB.
WE, middle class Americans earn $10 TRILLION a year – the richest block of people on the planet.
Whoever controls this group, controls this country, and the world.
Obama is already taking almost 50% of our earnings. This will put him over the top and he alone will control the majority of the wealthiest group in the world.

  32. Stitch, you beat me to the punch about the rich being “uninsured”–you’re exactly right! Does anyone in their right mind seriously think that Michael Jordan is “underinsured”?

As for the unemployed figures, the Gubment keeps two official figures–the other (higher, of course) one is not easily found on the Gubment web sites. You can just about come to the TRUE unemployment % by doubling the “MSM one” being “bandied about”: approximately 20%!!
    It probably includes:
    1. Those young miscreants being told by the Judge to either go to prison or join the military.
    2. Those ALREADY in prison.
    3. Those ALREADY in the military.
    4. Those who have STOPPED looking for work. (Most probably are now living in their parents’ homes, because they can’t afford anything else.)
    5. Those college students who don’t work.
(Did I leave anybody out?… Oh, yes, the welfare “cheats”!)

I believe that FAR MORE than half the people in the USA do not pay taxes…being a bit facetious, here:
I believe 99.99999% of all children from the age of one day old to 14 years old are ALSO unemployed! (LOL) How much % of the USA is made up of THAT category?

Good to see you’re still “alive and kicking”…especially on the facts and figures. (Keeps us thinking!)

  33. Stitch,
I took your advice and forwarded your healthcare breakdown.
Here are the responses I received

(I left in the spelling, punctuation and poor grammar to illustrate what we are dealing with.)

My response to this enlightened liberal was…
They already get healthcare. I and every other taxpayer foot the bill in higher premiums every day. I don’t have blood on my hands…I didn’t vote for him…you did.

I hope to break this down into short paragraphs and post it on the topic board tonight. Will you come and visit if they “take me away?”
    LOL (I hope.)

My response….Of course, and look at the bright side if they do come take you away you will surely get free healthcare.

  34. When the Progressive Socialists are doing the counting, they “count” everyone, and I mean EVERY ONE, they can find.

Make sure your reply to the liberals focuses on:
this is NOT about “health care”, it is about CONTROLLING OUR MONEY.

EVERYONE in this country IS getting “healf carr”.
Obama, and the Progressives, simply want to control another trillion dollars of middle class’s money.
    Its not about health care.
    Its ALL about POWER.
Who controls the MONEY controls the POWER.

  35. I will keep saying this:

Obama is NOT trying to make America strong or prosperous.

Obama IS trying to destroy our country.

Obama HATES white middle-class Americans because we are so wealthy (and Kenya is not).
    Obama IS a RACIST.

STOP looking “up” to a “glorious new world order full of peace and prosperity” and just turn around and look back, look down, back in history and down to death and destruction.
Once you do this it will all become crystal clear just WHERE Obama wants to take this country.
Even Obama knows the only way to move Socialism forward is to drag the middle class down into the lower class. Period.

Obama will NOT stop until we are broke, bread lines are forming, and former middle-classers are begging for Gubment help.
Then he will have another $170 million victory party.

STOP trying to figure out how Obama’a policies are going to move us FORWARD.

LOOK back (in history) and down (to the lower class) – this is where your future lies – IF Obama succeeds.

Obama’s success is FAILURE for Americans.
