In a take on the old saying, “being a liberal means never having to say you’re sorry.. just blame someone else..” Joe “Stoli” Biden paid a visit to former Clinton administration Chia Pet George Stephanopoulos at the ABC “News” program “This Week”. Truth be told, Biden’s answers more closely resembled “This Weak”..

Biden is in the unenviable position of being the “front man”/punching bag (similar to what Hillary was when Bill gave her “health care” to socialize..) for Obama on the “stimulus package”. I suppose that he feels that he has a lot of explaining to do since their first stab at socialism hasn’t worked yet. After all, 467,000 more Obama jobs disappeared in June making the Obama total an impressive 2.6 million jobs lost according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. These are the jobs lost AFTER the Savior was duly anointed in November and beatified in January.

Between surreptitious gulps from his totalitarian tankard, (Biden has nicknamed the Thermos “American Express”.. “Don’t leave home without it”..) the vice president said, “There was a misreading of just how bad an economy we inherited..” Since no one was going to pepper him with the statistical proof of his lies on the set, he quickly added, “Now, that doesn’t –I’m not– it’s our responsibility now..” (Sounds like the Stoli was kicking in..) Even if you left the statistics from the BLS aside, the reality is that the liberals have been in charge of SPENDING in both Houses since 2006 and those same liberals have ignored and enabled the “crisis” that has been festering and percolating since the Clinton/Frank era. With Joe Biden, a take on yet another slogan seems appropriate, “A mind is a terrible thing to baste..”

In the online segment known as “George’s Bottom Line”, we read that “Biden acknowledged administration officials were too optimistic..as part of their effort to sell the stimulus package.” “Too optimistic”? By their tax returns alone, this administration is apparently already “mathematically challenged” and the handicap hasn’t improved with the “tutoring” of “Turbo” Tim Geithner.. “Sell” the stimulus package? When did they have time to “sell” the package? They only “sold” the idea that everyone had to vote on it sight unseen. Here is just ONE quote from Obama, “We are dealing with an unprecedented crisis that has to be dealt with rapidly.” (“Obama Hurries Congress to Hurry Along Stimulus Package” ABC News 01/24/09) Imagine if Obama was “selling” you an automobile in the same manner that he has “sold” all of his other multi trillion dollar Marxist mishaps and Bolshevik bromides..

Barack: “Hi, welcome to Obama Motors, sign here..” Customer: “Sign what?” Barack: “Sign this. Now. You’re gonna love your new car.” Customer: “Where is it? I want to take a look at it, you know, a test drive, maybe?” “Barack: “Sign here.” “Customer: “Can you even tell me what color it is? What make and model it is? Can I at least kick the tires?” Barack: “Sign here.. Hey, can you hurry up, we close in five minutes. You are gonna just love this car..”

According to Biden, “We and everyone else misread the economy.” “Misread”? With the Obama diarrhea panic/my hair is in fire and my ass is catching “hurry” that always preceded the vote on every ridiculous over-expenditure, no one had time to “misread” anything. By the time the bill’s name was read into the record, (ten bucks if you know the actual name of the “stimulus”: “The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009”. Talk about false advertising..) the bill, per the demands of “Dear Leader”, was immediately voted on..

Even if every Republican in Congress was an honor student at the “Evelyn Woods Speed Reading” class at 1,200 pages, they STILL couldn’t have read this travesty in time to delay its carcinogenic implementation. (Now that Comedian Franken and Quisling Specter are in the Senate, the filibuster is out of play. Now is when, as Russell Crowe said in “Gladiator”, they will “release Hell..”)

The question remains, did the Republicans do enough to inconvenience or even derail the liberal “jughead juggernaut” before “Laughing Boy” and the new Pennsylvania Progressive put the liberals over the filibuster top? Did they effectively voice the logical concerns of the middle class that are ALWAYS the victims/targets of the liberal “money grab for moochers”? The fact that the leftists will be held accountable for the hydrogen bombs that they have detonated come 2010 is small solace in relation to the inevitability that there may be very little left to salvage once the Black Plague and his various “recovery plans” fully contaminate capitalism..

The socialist savants “misreading” of the economy was based on being “too optimistic” according to Biden. Too infantile, too inexperienced, too naïve.. and the list goes on and on..

“The vice president argued more time is needed for the stimulus to work”.. “More time” to read the bill itself might have made it a bit more efficient, a bit more effective.. These honorable goals are never part of the DNA of any and all liberal legislation.. Economists, even liberal ones, are saying that it isn’t more time that is needed, it is more money that is actually needed. A more efficient application of the original trillions promised might have been sufficient. Hint for Obama: Socialism NEVER works regardless of how much imaginary money you throw at it.. More time for the bill to work, yet there was no time to read it and debate it before hand.. Why would he say that it “needs more time to work”?

“..no one expected that that recovery package would in fact be in a position at this point of having to distribute the bulk of the money..” Observant readers might remember that it has been pointed out here that this “package” (this “package” resembles the ones that show up on your front porch on Halloween already aflame and smelling of feces..) was designed to “payoff” right before the 2010 mid-term election. The liberals would then heave the lifeless carcass of “we inherited this mess” onto the stage once more with gusto at which time Bolshevik Barack can arrive with his pockets full of progressive promissory notes and “save the day”..

If Obama had shown up a bit more often during his whirlwind “career” in the Senate, he might have noticed the yeoman’s work being done by the liberals as their “Dismantle America” plan has been in full swing since the nineties..

Even wobble jaws himself let the cat out of the bag, “This was set up to spend out over 18 months..” That seems like an awfully long time to “spend out” when this issue was (which was yet another Obama “top priority”) “an unprecedented crisis that has to be dealt with rapidly..”

Just to make everyone “feel” better, Biden bragged about money set to “take effect”. (if they can get it printed and dried in time..) “7.5 billion for broadband, new money for high-speed rail (the government already “owns” the useless and subsidized Amtrack, can’t wait to see their efforts at “high-speed rail”..) the pace of the ball is now going to increase..” We shouldn’t have to wait 18 months for the Obama inflation. We are already experiencing the Obama 10% unemployment rate (the worst in nearly thirty years and counting) and the Obama Depression (exacerbated by his insistence upon switching capitalism with socialism) so this whole “pace of the ball” thing is almost as frightening as the idea of Obama as president..

Almost as frightening, but not quite..

I am going to try my best to keep up with events..

Please don’t stop visiting if the articles drop back to one or two a week.

    Keep the comments flowing..

I will put something out every weekend for sure for about the next six weeks as training with new canine Damien starts in ernest tomorrow.

I will also try to keep posting on the Thought of the Day. The idea was for the “thoughts” to be less than 400 words so I hope to be able to keep that up.

Any help that anyone would give me in relation to “self-advertising” NLTZ in the interim would be greatly appreciated. I wish that I had cloned myself a while back, it might make this transformation a bit easier..

If someone would mention NLTZ on any of the radio shows and they could supply a sound bite as proof, a “reward” of considerable consequence will be headed your way. This type of “advertising” is one thing that I wish that I had more time to do..

Thanks as always for all of your inspiring comments.

Thanks for all of your kind words as well. There aren’t as many commenters as there used to be but you make up for it with quality.

    Thanks as always,

  2. Thank you, Larry, for your very kind words of encouragement! I’ll try to “keep the ball rolling”!

  3. Larry:

I tell everyone about your articles. I am so fortunate that I stumbled upon your website a year ago. You get me through the week. I’ll keep my chatter box going for ya…

P.S. Checks in the mail is one of my favorite articles…man your good…

  4. Larry,

Best of luck with your new canine partner…hope the training is as much fun as it is work!

Was at the local TEA party on Saturday with about 2200 others and it was good to be there. Of course the local paper gave it a negative spin with comments from bystanders like, “I just don’t know what they want.” Um, hello! No more bailouts or (un)stimulus money or government run healthcare or auto companies or banks or insurance agenciest, blah, blah, blah. Is anyone paying attention around here, sheeple?

Am reading an intersting book called, “The Grand New Party” about how to win the working class of America. Worth reading.

Any thoughts on what Sarah Palin is up to? I was bummed that she’s resigning her post but very interested to see what’s coming next for her.

  5. You say it SO well! I’m sending this to my liberal lawyer-cousin, who wants to know why I think America is going to hell in the proverbial hand basket.

Those of us who are fortunate enough to be working certainly know what it is like to have too few hours in the day to accomplish all that we want to do. We appreciate any and all your efforts, Larry. Keeping this Web site rolling takes a great amount of effort—and care.

I’m hearing and reading some discontent among the liberal media. Helen Thomas’ eruption about Obama’s insistence on choosing the questions for last weeks’ latest “Town Hall Pageant” and the persistence of Chip Reid of CBS in questioning Glib Gibbs about it was heartening. Helen, who has been around for years and prides herself in being the number one liberal thorn in the side of all Republican presidents, compared Obama to Richard Nixon, saying that Obama is “worse than Richard Nixon” (oh, horrors!) in his control the of press.

In the Washington Post today, Fred Hiatt briefly lapses into telling the truth: “The bottom line is this: You cannot run a progressive government of the kind Obama favors by collecting only 18 percent of the gross domestic product in taxes, which has been the norm over the past 40 years. Nor can you increase the tax take to 24.5 percent of GDP—which is what Obama proposes to be spending in 2019—simply by making the rich pay more.” [Fred says that he thinks 22 percent is reasonable. Crazy!]

He continues: “But RATHER THAN LEVEL WITH THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ABOUT THIS, or lay out a plan to raise the needed taxes, the Obama administration and the Democratic Congress are putting the spending pieces of progressive government in place and apparently counting on the tax piece to fall into place later.”

He then scrambles back to the left for fear that his foray into the Land of Truth will cause him to have to forfeit his pass to the Land of Oz: “Just to be clear, I support universal access to health care…” But he has opened this can of worms, and he can’t help but admit: “…you can’t get there without wrenching changes—abolishing the mortgage and charitable deductions, for example, or instituting a nationwide consumption tax. And unless you raise taxes so high that you risk choking economic growth, you also will have to trim Medicare and Social Security benefits.”

The Washington Post has always been my bellwether for when the inevitable euphoria that results from the election of a Democrat is beginning to fade. The Congress seems to be waiting for Obama to call for them to pass a tax bill. Obama seems to be waiting for them to formulate what is bound to be a “wake-up call” for the American people, of the most unpleasant sort. The next few months should be interesting.

  7. Larry,

Lots of luck with the new pup…I’m sure it will go well.

Will keep telling everyone about NLTZ…your articles are the only “oasis” in a desert of mainstream media garbage (Michael Jackson, anyone?) and always a pleasure to read, even when I don’t comment, I ALWAYS read them!

    Thanks for the kind words.

You made me go back and read “The Checks In The Mail”. I did do some giggling..

Every bit of help helps.. I thank you for giving me a hand with this labor of love.

    Thanks as always,

  9. Larry – I’m one of those that doesn’t comment much. I just retired and will be a much more frequent reader/writer. This article was great. It was getting to where (along with IBD editorials) I just couldn’t take the time to read your work. Things will be different, now and I’m looking forward to being on time with them.

  10. noleftturnz

    Thanks for your kindness.

The media simply didn’t want the rest of us to know that they had spoon fed all along. It became blatantly obvious, thus all of the blather and bluster as well as the nervous giggling from knucklehead Gibbs..

Don’t let the media fool you about Nixon. The leftists had it in for Nixon when he was involved with the Hiss case. He had been in their sites from that point onward. Nixon was aware of the vendetta and he, for survivals sake, tried to minimize the media’s impact.

Wategate becomes Waterloo.. The leftists saw their opportunity which they then cloaked within the cape of righteous indignation..

Nixon’s work to unmask Hiss and the burgeoning liberal/communist union was what caused the media’s furor with him..

    Thanks as always,

    Thanks as always..

Didn’t you just have surgery? How is everything going?

Let us know so that we can say a few extra prayers for you.

Eileen is my hero. For what she has gone through (She bacame very sick going to a McCian Palin event in Florida) for her to supply as many comments and so much information about the conservative cause amazes me.

Let us know about your progress.

    That’s what “family” is for..

  12. noleftturnz

Just retired? When I grow up I want to be just like you..

    Thanks for your kind words.

The archives is loaded with all kinds of fun stuff.. I glance through there myself, most recently, I was motivated by Joel’s comment about “The Checks In The Mail.”

For an article written so many months back to have been so memorable for Joel means alot to me.

I appreciate and value the comments and the humanity of the conservatives who are part of my “family”. Maybe someday if the planets all align, there might be a “Noleftturnz” convention where we could all get together and to meet. That would be a gas..

No better way to end a hard day of canine training than to be at the keyboard writing and commenting back to each of you.

    Thanks as always,

  13. Hey Larry…I always supply links to my friends every time I discuss topics that you have articles about, Although grassroots may be slow, it is totally real and sustaining. As far as the constant re assessing that the Obama Administration does as their economic forecasts fall farther farther off line, my main wonder is when will the majority get it? I was never one for the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire analogies, but these days I’m not so sure. Americans it seems either are too apathetic or too stupid to realize that we could really lose it all. We’ve had it so good for so long that I think that it really will all have to come crashing down around us before the majority in this country awakes from it self inflicted stupor. The main problem with that is; it could be too late to fix it.

  14. Thanks for the prayers Larry and everyone. Yes I had surgery in April and again a couple of weeks ago (emergency, that one) but feeling much better. Unfortunately, it is something that I will have to deal with my whole life. I have genetically disfigured kidneys, and a host of problems that occur from that. I can go for months, even a few years without a problem and then BOOM, here we go again. So, hopefully, I am good for a while now! Unless, of course, Obama convinces the sheeple to socialize medicine (it’s unprecedented! it’s historic!, and it has to be done NOW!!) then we will all be screwed, and Captain Obvious Biden will tell the nation how Washington “misread” it when the the whole thing blows up in this country’s face again. Ugh.

I hope Eileen is okay, I will pray for her. I miss her insightful and intelligent comments.

  15. Ok, Ive got a foolproof way for you to reach more people Larry. All you have to do is write an article slandering Sarah Palin and you will be invited on all the sunday shows and I’m sure you will be a featured writer on Keith Olbermanns show!
Throw in a dig at Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity to ensure a continuing supply of invitations to talk shows.
There ya go, problem solved. 😉

  16. ok, tell us lazy people which month “the checks in the mail” is please……you know we are all going to go read it!

Yet another great article, as always. Best of luck with your new partner Damien.

    Hi Larry.

Just catching up on my reading and as usual I am not disappointed. Have not been able to comment on past articles but I have enjoyed them all. Always right on. I have noticed a drop in commentary but not to fret. It will pick up soon. I just forwarded your link to my entire address book with strong recommendations to subscribe. I hope they all do so. Please keep up the articles as we all need a voice and you always provide. A small voice in the wilderness that will grow to a roar heard everywhere. God bless you and all the family.

PS: Have fun with the puppy. I would have a hard time without my dogs.

    If your cousin is:

    1) a lawyer

    2) a liberal.

He or she understands but refuses to acknowledge the reason. As well, he or she probably works for Obama or wishes that they worked for Obama..

We all know that the world of Washington needs more lawyers..

I say they need more ACCOUNTANTS.

    Thanks and welcome to NLTZ!

  20. noleftturnz

    All solid points as usual..

    Thanks as always,

  21. noleftturnz

    Wow..never thought of that..

If I had the “integrity” of the average liberal, that would undobtedly be the course that I would take..

    Good stuff.

  22. noleftturnz

    beyond disgusted,

Thanks and it is good to hear from you again.

  23. noleftturnz

Agreed.. Anyone who says “I’m not a dog person” is someone worth avoiding at all costs.

Good to hear from you again and I appreciate the “shove” that you gave NLTZ.

    Thanks as always,

“The Checks In The Mail” was from November 6, 2008.

There were some real classics during that time as well..

The New Schlemiel from that time was also a goodie..

    Thanks as always my friend,

You even mentioned the greatest problem! With its solution execution we will remove the usurper from office. His is a constitutional crime as outlined in our Constitution. He is an illegitimate occupant of the White House.

This is not opinion, it is fact. By his own admission, his father was a citizen of Great Britain at the time of his birth and his mother was too young to confer citizenship.

A “natural born citizen” must be the proginy of TWO, I spell, 2, US citizens. The parents can be naturalized or even valid immigrants with the rights of citizenship. This Never Never Land imposter is likely an illegal alien, himself. His allegiances are seated in the Middle East, not here in the United States.

His hate for the white man is a carry over from his anger when the United Kingdom colonized his birth country, now called Kenya.

We must rid ourselves of this cancer or the body will die. Contact AmericanGrandJury.org and learn how to help remove the socialist regime trying to destroy our country.

  26. DINNER WITH OBAMA, a parable…..

Once upon a time, I was invited to the White House for a private dinner with the President. I am a respected businessman, with a factory that produces memory chips for computers and portable electronics. There was some talk that my industry was being scrutinized by the administration, but I paid it no mind. I live in a free country. There’s nothing that the government can do to me if I’ve broken no laws. My wealth was earned honestly, and an invitation to dinner with an American President is an honor.

I checked my coat, was greeted by the Cheif of Staff, and joined the President in a yellow dining room. We sat across from each other at a table draped in while linen. The Great Seal was embossed on the china. Uniformed staff serverd our dinner.

The meal was served, and I was startled when my waiter suddenly reached out, plucked a dinner roll off my plate, and began nibbling it as he walked back to the kitchen.

“Sorry about that,” said the President. “Andrew is very hungry.”

“I don’t appreciate…” I began, but as I looked into the calm brown eyes across from me, I felt immediately guilty and petty. It was just a dinner roll. “Of course.” I concluded, and reached for my glass. Before I could, however, another waiter reached forward, took the glass away and swallowed the wine in a singe gulp.

“And his brother Eric is very thirsty.” said the President.

I didn’t say anything. The President is testing my compassion, I thought. I will play along. I don’t want to seem unkind. My plate was whisked away before I had tasted a bite.

“Eric’s children are also quite hungry.”

With a lurch, I crashed to the floor. My chair had been pulled out from under me. I stood, brushing myself off angrily, and watched as it was carried from the room.

“And their grandmother can’t stand for long.”

I excused myself, smiling outwardly, but inside feeling like a fool. Obviously I had been invited to the White House to be sport for some game. I reach for my coat, to find that it had been taken. I turned back to the President.

“Their grandfather doesn’t like the cold.”

I wanted to shout – that was my coat! But again, I looked at the placid smiling face of my host and decided I was being a poor sport. I spread my hands helplessly and chuckled.

Then I felt my hip pocket and realized my wallet was gone. I excused myself and walked to a phone on an elegant side table. I learned shortly that my credit cards had been maxed out, my bank accounts emptied, my retirement and equity portfolios had vanished, and my wife had been thrown out of our home.

Apparently, the waiters and their families were moving in. The President hadn’t moved or spoken as I learned all this, but finally I lowered the phone into its cradle and turned to face him.

“Andrew’s whole family has made bad financial decisions. They haven’t planned for retirement, and they need a house. They recently defaulted on a sub-prime mortgage. I told them they could have hour home… They need it more than you do.”

My hands were shaking. I felt faint. I stumbled back to the table and knelt on the floor. The President cheerfully cut his meat, ate his steack and drank his wine. I lowered my eyes and stared at the small grey circles on the tablecloth that were water drops.

“By the way,” he added. “I have just signed an Executive Order nationalizing your factories. I’m firing you as head of your business. I’ll be operating the firm now for the benefit of all mankind. There’s a whole bunch of Ericks and Andrews out there and they can’t come to you for jobs groveling like beggars.”

I looked up. The President dropped his spoon into the empty ramekin which had been his Creme Brulee. He drained the last drops of his wine. As the table was cleared, he lit a cigarette and leaned back in his chair. He stared at me. I clung to the edge of the table as if it were a ledge and I were a man hanging over an abyss. I thought of the years behind me, of the life I had lived. The life I had earned with a lifetime of work, risk and struggle. Why was I punished? How had I allowed it to be taken? What game had I played and lost? I looked across the table and noticed with some surprise that there was no game board between us.

    What had I done wrong?

As if answering the unspoken thought, the President suddenly cocked his head, locked his empty eyes to mine, and bared a million teeth, chuckling wryly as he folded his hands.

“You should have stopped me at the dinner roll, ” he said.

Sorry this is so long. My sister sent it to me and I cannot stop thinking about it. I am absolutelu terrified for out country, for I have read the prophecies and I cry out to the Lord to spare us. This is just too real a scenario!

  27. Richard… great story, and the absolute truth. It reminds me of a story about how you would explain war and the need to fight to a child. It allways ends with “If only I had done something when there was still time to prevent the damage!”

Larry, I’ll keep telling everyone I meet… it is a true haven here and so stimulating to my thought process.

PS… I hate my hubby’s lap top, too.

Thanks for the kind words and for the help..

If this were truly heaven, dogs would be in charge.

    Thanks as always,

  29. Larry, I always read your great thoughts and words. Have not sent comments, but I am here. Also enjoy the family’s comments.

I have been thinking of the outrageous coverage this last week of the MJ suicide and the thousands in LA and just know this is the gene pool that voted the current administration in power.

    God help us!

Welcome aboard and right on target with the comment.

It would appear that you are an over the hill performer the best thing that can happen is for you to check out early. The same as the big payout when a political career is ended, then its off to be a “lobbyist”..

The ridiculous spectacle that Presley/Graceland became has now morphed into Jackson/Neverland.

All the “leftovers” will be the ones raking in the cash.

The saps are the ones buying in..

“Neverland”, as in NEVER go there.

    Meanwhile, socialism marches on.

    Thanks as always,
