Back To Basics..

As another disgusting election cycle has ended, the Republicans are already beating the bushes as they look “forward” to 2016.. As has been the case with the “loyal opposition” for too long a time, a political hyperopia causes them to look BEYOND the midterm election of 2014 and on to 2016. Their new “fair haired child” from Louisiana has been demurely capturing headlines of late as he espouses either HIS personal mantras or the “new and improved” ones of the Republican Party. Neither option is at all particularly palatable..

It’s official: the Republicans are moving “forward” by adopting the imagery of Bush 41’s “kinder, gentler” nonsense.. “If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em” ISN’T a clarion call worth hearing from the Republican “leadership” but it seems that this is all that they are offering up..

Leading this tone deaf “charge” is none other than Bobby Jindal and he wants to “teach the world to sing, in perfect harmony” just like the moony jibberish of the old Coke commercial of 1971. In this syrupy socialism, the politically correct assemblage of properly pigmented friends want to “buy the world a Coke” and if Jindal’s reformation to the “touchy feely” polluted politics of the Democratic Party is complete, the middle class will be buying the world’s Cokes with the Republicans blessing.. He wants to go “back to basics”.. Its more like going “back to Democrats”..

According to Fox News, Bobby says that “if we want people to like us, we have to like them first..” “Like”? Since when have politics become the equivalent of the mash note mentality so popular back in high school?

No matter what you do, not EVERYONE will “like” you.. This new “popularity contest” political think of the Republicans means that the middle class and the nation’s productive are now the “red headed step children” as the “Handout Hootenanny” will now go “forward” from BOTH sides of the aisle.. Wonderful..

Here is a news flash for Jindal: we (conservatives) “like” everyone. However, we “like” everyone to pull his or her own weight, to not become a BURDEN to society, to want to CONTRIBUTE to America, not be a financial detriment. We “like” people who come to America in order to become “Americans” not the hypenated pseudo-citizens who now have America pressing one for English, soon to be pressing “two”.. We don’t “like” the politics of the left which were wholeheartedly embraced by the Democrats decades ago so why is it that the “new” answer from the Republicans is to BE BETTER DEMOCRATS THAN THE DEMOCRATS?

One Carlos Gutierrez, former Commerce Secretary, has a better idea, a better idea than even the ones coming from Jindal, a more “nuts and bolts approach..” Not so sure about the “bolts” part..

Carlos wants to create a “Super Pac” to “support Republican candidates who back comprehensive immigration reform..” Liberalspeak interpretation: AMNESTY FOR ILLEGALS. Carlos sees “11 million” ILLEGAL immigrants and he believes that these ILLEGALS will ALL vote Republican if only the Republicans look the other way and hold their nose on the issue of border burglary..

Since OWEbama has destroyed so many jobs, exactly what will these “new Republicans” be contributing to what was once America? OWEbama has been so successful at destroying the America economy that ILLEGALS have been going BACK across the border in order to find work. Why didn’t OWEbama boast about THAT accomplishment..

Now we must parse out a line or two from the article while we put the PROPER perspective on the words.. “The election of 2012 drove home trends that have been established for years..”” Exactly. What this REALLY means is that for generations, the left has transformed America from a nation of those who wish to “produce” to a nation of “charity cases”. “Benefits” became “rights” and “rights” MUST be controlled and disseminated by the government.. (This also means that they became PERMANENT as well..)

The left has systematically been “buying votes” from their base with OUR money and the Republicans believe that the answer to this travesty is to mimic it..

Tough times call for tough calls, ergo not everyone will “like” you. Imitating the Democrats is not a call that is made by a leader, then again, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, isn’t it?

There was the usual hand wringing of how OWEbama landed “80 percent of the non-white vote” and the lowly Romney grabbed “59 percent of the non-Hispanic whites..” (“non-Hispanic whites”? Next stop; non-Black Koreans..) Therefore the answer is to pander to the newly legalized “minority” crowd in the hopes that they will NOT vote as their “friends” do and have done for generations.. Republicans, the article says, are “wrestling with ways to appeal beyond their base..” Wait a minute..

First off, the FIRST appeal should be made so that the ENTIRE “base” decides to show up to vote. Exactly how many “non Hispanic white” Republicans sat out the election? AGAIN, if 333,000 more of the “base” had shown up in just four states, this would ALL be as moot as Je$$e Jack$on..

As a member of the middle class, as someone who will claim to be mildly observant, WHY would anyone not cast the RIGHT vote after four years of complete and utter failure by OWEbama and his Democratic collectivist contemporaries, or better yet, why would anyone stay home? I personally feel that EVERYONE who was of voting age who did not vote should have to pay the taxes that I voted AGAINST. Their apathy determined my fate, they determined EVERYONE’S fate..

Gutierrez steamed “forward”.. “The Republican Party is a natural home for them..” (ILLEGALS) “First they have to be legalized.. Then you have to find a way to get into line for a green card..” Smashing.. The FIRST thing that Gutierrez wants the NEWLY hypenated-Republican Americans to do is “stand in line” which is EXACTLY what the Democratic voting base does in order to receive their “benefits”.. “Find a way”? I had no idea that the process to enter America LEGALLY was so clandestine..

Neither Guierrez nor Jindal can explain how ALTERING the Republican message in order to assuage these new hypenated Republican Americans won’t make the Republican base upset, therefore the old guard won’t “like” Guiterrez or Jindal.. Never mind, these two “forward” thinkers believe that “11 million” formerly ILLEGAL now LEGAL “Americans” will ALL vote Republican, more than making up for the defection of the passe Republican base which then allows those old timers ample time to sit on the sidelines and sulk with the Ron Paul disciples..

Harkening back to Lyndon Johnson’s unsavory thought process (verbalized on Air Force One for good measure in relation to another group of minorities relative to civil rights reform) Carlos says that “if we get it right, the 21st century is ours..” I’m concerned as to exactly WHO this “ours” is..

The Republicans seem to be advertising that they have given up on the war as the alternative to the political genocide of the Democratic Party. The tectonic plates started shifting generations ago and “giving in” now in order to bribe minority voters with a promise of being “Democrat Light” means “giving up” on the Republican base.

We were once the victims of the Democratic debacles, if this transformation is complete, we will be the victims of the “new and improved” Democratic doppelgangers who used to be known as Republicans..

“Back to basics”.. What a novel idea..

  1. “Back to basics”…..What a novel idea. Oh, wait! Does that mean we need to start keeping the Oath of Office and following the Constitution? I hate to tell you that if we do go back to basics, we won’t be wondering if somebody ‘likes’ us or our message needs to be softer and warmer. Basic means beginning and you begin by rolling up your sleeves and getting down in the trenches and fighting the good fight and winning the war against Socialism, Marxism, Maoism and Hitlerism and any other “ism” that takes away our God given inalienable rights. I for one am ready to engage and strip the muck off our Republic and put a shine on individuality and rewarding the worker and penalizing the “gimmes”. Basic is common sense and that means a very small government is needed because we will care about each other and we will work together to assist those who really need assistance and teach those who don’t know a better way. We need to get back to the basics of “Pride” in a job well done and a country able to defend itself and assist others. A nation of people who really know how to love one another and living in virtue. One of the biggest mistakes we are guilty of is sending needful nations cash. We all know where that ends up. Remember: Give a man a fish and he will have a nice meal; teach him how to fish and he will always have food………NO HANDOUTS! Send emissaries to teach and guide and you will see a nation grow and bloom.

  2. Oh good!! We’re going to be a Republic again!!!!

The lesson learned from this and the 2008 election is the only way to win is to cheat. The Republicans need to out-cheat the Democrats on a scale that will leave the Democrats in shock and awe.

  4. Richard, I agree with what you say. I could not of added anthing else. When we get back to the constitution, things would return to what it should be. Enforce the laws that are already in place, quit sending nations that hate us money. No welfare without work, unless disabled or elderly. Lower the taxes. Cut out foolish spending. Resind the unemployment law that increased the time for drawing unemployment insurance. We need to return to a country of laws that make sense.

  5. Getting back to the Constitution ??? Legally, how was it able to be trampled by the regime? Supposedly we have a representative form of gov’t., but when 76% of the population opposed OWEbaamacare, the so-called representatives of the people voted ‘against’ the will of the people. And to add insult to injury, the SCOTUS agreed – but called it a ‘tax’ .

Since OWEbaamacare is now a tax, may I suggest the following :

In states that have a state sales tax, the tax is usually posted at the end of a sales receipt and/or invoice for the purchase of goods and services. Following this concept, suppose that the businesses posted the cost of OWEbaamacare as a separate item on each receipt and/or invoice to remind everyone, especially those who want “free” healthcare, exactly how much the “free” care is costing.

Also, the businesses could remind everyone that they have NOT raised their prices , but that OWEbaama is responsible for the higher costs.

Plus, since OWEbaamacare is a ‘tax’ , could the businesses then deduct the ‘tax’ on their tax returns , since the ‘tax’ monies are not considered ‘income’ ? Wonder if the IRS addressed this.

Any thoughts from accountants or attorneys who might be reading this ?

Could this be part of “Robert’s Revenge ” , afterall, he was ‘dissed’ by OWEbaama ??

  6. The WH is playing the Bill Clinton semantics game,( as in ” what is the definition of ‘is’ “) , regarding the ‘classified vs unclassifed ‘ information regarding Benghazi. They’ll do almost anything to delay getting to the real crux of the matter. Apparently the word game is more important than determining who is responsible for the deaths of four Americans !

Semantics takes precedence over the life an individual in the OWEbaama administration. Sadly, they expect that to be acceptable.

On a side note, I wonder if Susan Rice is still interested in replacing Hillary, especially since OWEbaama set her up to be the laughing stock on five Sunday shows. There are at least 100 members of Congress opposed to her nomination – hopefully she’ll get the message and remove herself from the running. Isn’t that what a Rhodes Scholar would do , when the hand writing is on the wall ?

  7. Richard…I agree.
I think after 4 more years of the same or worse, people may be more than happy for a change.
First, though, there need to be some changes made by us..maybe not for at least 2 years.
Suggestions include work and drug testing for any welfare recipients.
Proof of fatherhood (there must be some knowledge of possible paternity) for aid to dependent children. Father’s support payments could be matched if necessary. Marriage would benefit the applicants’ eligibility.
Instead of food stamps have the old fashioned commodities. 25 pound sack of flour, beans, cheese, powdered milk and very limited amount of “actual” money to fill in. And forget the Visa card…go ahead and embarrass them.
More would seek out a charitable church that is sympathetic to the so called needy.
Also, defund Obama’s friend who came up with the idea of phones and phone cards for all. What a bailout that was!
If we could identify the fraud that takes place just in my neighborhood…
Award whistleblowers for turning in cheaters….there are plenty of them.
Even the medical professionals who cheat Medicare and Medicaid are known to someone.
What an entitlement for Republican voters…get on the whistleblower band wagon!!
And something needs to be done about unemployment. Looking for work? Heck, one union garbage man can be replaced with a bunch of “un”employables. A qualified unemployed can be a supervisor and manager of work assignments. What a volunteer army…and there
would be a lot more pride and character out there.-

How Obama can be stopped in Electoral College
Exclusive: Judson Phillips offers constitutional means to put Romney in office Jan. 21
We have one last, final chance to save America. We have one last, final chance to stop Barack Obama. One final chance.
What is this final chance? Will the Republicans step up to the plate and do what is necessary?
Barack Obama has not yet been re-elected president.
Yes, the election is over – but remember, a presidential election in America is not by popular vote. We vote for the candidate, but what we are really doing is voting for the electors who will meet on the Monday after the second Wednesday in December.
That is when the actual re-election of the president occurs.
Is there a way to stop this?
    Yes, there is.
And the best part – this is totally constitutional.
The 12th Amendment of the Constitution as well as Article II of the Constitution govern the Electoral College.
According to the 12th Amendment, for the Electoral College to be able to select the president, it must have a quorum of two-thirds of the states voting. If enough states refuse to participate, the Electoral College will not have a quorum. If the Electoral College does not have a quorum or otherwise cannot vote or decide, then the responsibility for selecting the president and vice president devolves to the Congress.
The House of Representatives selects the president and the Senate selects the vice president.
Since the Republicans hold a majority in the House, presumably they would vote for Mitt Romney, and the Democrats in the Senate would vote for Joe Biden for vice president.
Can this work? Sure it can.
Democrats have actually set this precedent of refusing to participate to deny Republicans a quorum. They did this in Wisconsin and in Texas. Why can’t we do this with the Electoral College?
Mitt Romney was a terrible candidate, and he will not be a great president. But he will be infinitely better than Barack Obama.
So how do we do this?
Mitt Romney carried 24 states. We need to have conservative activists from all over the nation contact the electors, the Republican Party and the secretary of state in all of these states and tell them not to participate in the Electoral College when it meets on Dec. 17.
If we can get 17 of those states (just over one-third) to refuse to participate, the Electoral College will have no quorum. Then, as the Constitution directs, the election goes to the House of Representatives.
That is how we can still pull this election out and make Mitt Romney president in January.
We need this concept shared with every tea party, liberty and patriotic group throughout the country. We have time to act, but we must pressure Republicans to do the right thing.
It does not matter who gets credit for this. The credit is not important. Using our last chance to defeat Barack Obama is important.
Far too often the Republican Party seems more interested in losing gracefully than winning and governing.
This is our last chance. We the people must contact the electors, party officials and secretaries of state from every red state and insist that they refuse to participate in the Electoral College.
We can still save America and use the Constitution to do it. But this truly is our last chance.

  9. Dave,

I’m not suggesting anything, nor condonning anything , but will ask this simple question :

If the above scenario took place, could we expect cries of ‘racism ‘, and even riots in the inner cities ? Especially since those involved in those areas will probably not understand , nor wish to comprehend, the constitutionality of the process.

  10. Larry aand family,

Have a very Happy Thanksgiving .

BTW, does anyone know why a turkey leg is called a drumstick – since it really does not resemble a stick for drumming ? Just a weird thought for tomorrow !

  11. ATTENTION ALL TWINKIE LOVERS

Be prepared to suffer Twinkie withdrawl symptoms.

Apparently Hostess and the union could not come to terms, therefore bankruptcy seems to be the only option. I do not understand the mind set of union members, especially in this case. Hostess has had financial problems for some time, so the union’s solution is to go on strike for higher wages. From what part of the heavens did they expect this extra money to emerge ?

It seems that the union’s idea of raising the cost of doing business will result in higher wages. Here’s just one little example – although Twinkies and Wonder bread come from the SAME bakery location, the union demanded that each product line be shipped in two different trucks, thereby DOUBLING the transportation costs !! And these union idiots want ALL BUSINESSES to be unionized !! The fact that only 7 % of private sector employees elect to be unionized seems to escape the mental capability of these union neanderthals . Just take a look at AFL CIO head Richard Trumpka – need I say more ???

  12. I find not one single thread of sound reasoning in the GOP’s thinking of giving 12 million illegal aliens a free pass to citizenship that these new inductees, many of whom speak little or no English and do not understand our system of government, will remember who or what Party was responsible for their new found “freedom” four years later. Responsible enough that it would insure the election of a Republican candidate as president as the result of 12 million more votes?

If the GOP has started playing the “vote the man” game and catering to minorities within this Democratic system we’re saddled with, they are no better than liberals and consequently the end of our nation as we know it will be hastened.

  13. Joe,

As we know, the District of Corruption is TOTALLY corrupt, and the politicians are only concerned with self-preservation . Apparently they believe that the golden goose will never die , and that they will get their bennies for as long as they live !

Their corrupt mentality is blatant – for example, although insider trading is illegal, members of Congress have exempted themselves from this law. And that is just for starters, how much more do they get away with ?

Is it any wonder that members of Congress are millionairs or about to be millionaires ? And when they leave Congress, they head to K street to further enhance their wealth. Anybody on favor of term limits ?

  14. Back to the Sec. of State wannabe, Susan Rice – in an effort to demonstrate that she is not qualified for the job, she is claiming that she was simply doing as she was told, namely to read some carefully crafted talking points which did not agree with other info. that came from various sources. Apparently she falls for everything that OWEbaama and the rest of the regime tell her. Perhaps she is being mentored by Jay Carney !! I would suggest that she consider speaking to Condi Rice.

Then again, it is the District of Corruption, so what can we expect ?

  15. Semantics game still being played at the WH.

The consulate in Benghazi is now referred to as a “facility ” ! Why would the WH change the status of a consulate ? Is this their attempt to reduce it’s culpability ? Obviously the WH has a reason for the downgrade to ” facility ” – what are they up to ??

  16. JJ= If I had to guess it would be more of the smoke and mirrors of the baaaama nation. I wish we could get someone to influence the Electoral College and stop this train wreck called a second term. I’m beginning to think in term limits of one term for all and NO exemptions for any of them on any laws. Like, even parking tickets or jay walking tickets are to be paid out of their own pockets as well as contributing to a healthcare plan during their term, then it ends, and NO golden parachutes. Just a quick kick in the butt to open the seat for the next one term person. We also should change election day or inaugural day so there are only four weeks from election to Oath of Office..Oh well, I know I’m in nightmare land.

  17. Richard,

I tend to refer to it as deception , rather than smoke and mirrors. In fact , it might even turn out to be lying.

Agreed, the perks must be reduced, so that the so-called representatives of the people are kept grounded in reality, and not the receptients of lifetime bennies .

  18. Does the USA sponsor terrorism or simply aid in the formation of dictators ?

Is it safe to assume that the power grab by Egypt’s Morsi is the creation of another dictatorship ? How many dictatorships has the USA helped to create ? I really don’t know, since keeping track of dictators is not on my bucket list ! But, it is safe to say that the number is ‘one too many ‘ !

Apparently the District of Corruption believes in buying friendship and loyality. Wonder if anyone in DC has an up-to-date scorecard on that success record.

Love can’t be bought from a prostitute , and one would think that the political whores would understand that concept !!

And yes, this is just a little Saturday Sarcasm .

  19. The Saturday Sarcasm is always a treat to read and mind provoking also. So keep it up, because I enjoy it so much and agree 100%. I think the USA has had, and still does have leaders, militarily and politically, with such inflated egos and sense of power, they think they know best what is good for other countries, so they insinuated themselves into the government of other nation’s with the goal of patting themselves on the back for a job well done and for personal gain, which in reality is at most destabilizing and at worst tearing the fabric of those nation’s civil rights which creates total unrest and civil wars. These despots then run for cover to hide the fact they were the fly in the ointment. Then to make themselves feel better they throw money at the country, using our treasure, and make the ruling class beyond rich while the poor suffer the civil unrest. Aren’t we proud of ourselves? And all this meddling is contrary to our Founding Documents which say all men are created equal. Many believe themselves more equal than others.

Looks like I got into a little Saturday Sarcasm myself!

  20. Richard,

Thanks for the kind words. Since not getting much response to the Saturday Sarcasm, I was beginning to wonder if it was worthwhile. You’ve supplied a ray of hope – thanks again. Yes, do jump on the Saturday Sarcasm theme, since at times sarcasm seems to offer a degree of mental catharsis, so to speak.

A few of the founding fathers warned against meddling in the affairs of other nations, but some in the District of Corruption, as usual, always seem to know better.

I have always enjoyed your comments and the thoughts that they provoke. And I hope that you’ll keep them coming .

  21. Regarding Dave’s article about the Electoral College quorum, does anyone have an update ?

  22. In reading Dave’s post one word came to mind, speed. In dealing with individual states, the Republican Party and in particular the Congress it is generally conceded the rate at which they progress is comparable to grease in mid-winter. Were it not for the blinding speed of Republicans or a majority of states we knew long before 4 years was up and Obama was re-elected again that he actually did have a birth certificate, his college records were not sealed and his life is an open book, right? RIGHT?

  23. Joe,

And, let’s not forget that the GOP cannot challenge any voter fraud due to a consent degree supposedly signed in 1982 ! If such a document exists, why hasn’t it been in the news ? Or, did I perhaps miss it ? Just asking.

  24. JJ: What a great idea on the sales receipts! A bit like the ‘detail’ on my CenturyLink telephone bill… But…. how many people even check their receipts nowadays… we do, but I seldom see anyone checking their bill as they leave the cashier..
Thanks, Larry, and all who post here.

  25. I just received this E-mail. It is quite long, so let’s see what WordPress does:
    THIS IS GREAT!!!!!!!!

Subject: Please see below on our new Divorce Agreement
Says it all! And written by a law student! Love it!
Since we are not going to get gasoline back to $1.50 per gallon and coffee to $2.00 per pound maybe this would be a solution we could live with.
DIVORCE AGREEMENT — This is so incredibly well-put, and I can hardly believe it’s by a young person, a student!! Whatever he runs for, I’ll vote for him!

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, regressive, Marxists, and Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950s for the sake of the kids, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has clearly run its course.

Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right for us all, so let’s just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

    1. Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by land mass, each taking a similar portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy. Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides had such distinct and disparate tastes.

    2. We don’t like redistributive taxes, so you can keep them.

    3. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU.

    4. Since you hate guns and war, we’ll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA, and the military.

    5. We’ll take the nasty, smelly oil industry and you can go with wind, solar, and bio-diesel.

    6. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore, and Rosie O’Donnell. You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them.

    7. We’ll keep capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart, and Wall Street.

    8. You can have your beloved lifelong welfare dwellers, food stamps, homeless homeboys, hippies, druggies, and illegal aliens.

    9. We’ll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO’s and rednecks.

    10. We’ll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood ..

    11. You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we’ll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us.

    12. You can have the peace-niks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we’ll help provide them security.

    13. We’ll keep our Judeo-Christian values.

    14. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political correctness, and Shirley McLain. You can also have the U.N., but we will no longer be paying the bill.

    15. We’ll keep the SUV’s, pickup trucks, and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.

    16. You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors..

    17. We’ll continue to believe healthcare is an earned luxury and not a right.

    18. We’ll keep “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” and “The National Anthem.”

    19. I’m sure you’ll be happy to substitute “Imagine”, “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing”, “Kum Ba Ya,” or “We Are the World”.

    20. We’ll practice trickle-down economics and you can continue to give trickle up poverty your best shot.

    21. Since it often so offends you, we’ll keep our history, our name and our constitution and our flag.

    22. Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like-minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I’ll bet you answer which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

    Sincerely,
    John J. Wall
    Law Student and an American

P.S.: Also, please take Ted Turner, Sean Penn, Martin Sheen, Barbara Streisand, and Jane Fonda with you.

P.S.S..: And you won’t have to “Press 1 for English” when you call our country.

Forward this every time you get it! Let’s keep this going; maybe some of it will start sinking in!

**If you can’t stand behind our Military, Please feel free to stand in front of them! **

    Looks like it worked.

  26. More on Dave’s post on how we can stop Obama in the Electoral College. Nothing against Dave but this was poorly researched, sort of like putting the cart before the horse. Judson Williams, founder of the Tea Party, published this article in WGN on November, 2012.

The 12th Amendment doesn’t state that Congress “must have a quorum of two thirds of the states voting for the Electoral College to be able to elect a president.” It directs that if the selection of the president has already devolved upon the House of Representatives because no candidate received a mahority of electoral votes, THEN “a quorum consisting of member or members from two thirds of the states” is necessary before the House can begin a vote. Plain language, the 12th Amendment doesn’t say anything about two thirds of the states voting required for the electorate to be valid; it says only members of the House of Representatives of two thirds of the states have to be present in order to select a president and that would be ONLY IF the Electoral College has already failed to do so which, sadly in this election, it did not do.

Also, members of the House do not cast ballots individually for president; they vote as part of state delegations, with each state having one vote. Therefore, whichever party controls the majority of seats in the House is not guaranteed a victory in such a process; what’s important is which party controls a majority of state delegations in the House.

Finally, the current mix of liberals vs. conservatives in the House is irrelevent, as the New Congress to be seated in Jan. 2013 would select a president if no candidate who ran in the Nov. 2012 election received a majority of electoral votes.

  27. Richard.

Thanks for sharing that excellent Divorce Decree. Unfortunately, liberals never want to negotiate, so I will not hold my breath. They will not give anything up.

They can have Ted Turner, Sean Penn, Martin Sheen, Barbara Streisand, and Jane Fonda. Add Alec Baldwin, Danny Glover and every other loudmouth celebrities that hangout with the Castro Brother and the dictator around the World.

I’ll take Gary Sinise, Tom Selleck, Clint Eastwood, Angie Harman, Stephen Baldwin, James Woods, Heather Locklear, John Voight, Kurt Russell, Dennis Miller, Adam Sandler to name just a few. Let’s not forget every female anchor, co-anchor and reporter at FoxNews. My dad said it should be FoxyNews. (Never notice liberal reporters are kind of ugly. I guess it shows what they feel on the inside). Like Clint said there are more like him, but they might jeopardize their careers if they came out of the Closet..
